Spin-stabilized fuze assembly
Fuze assembly methods and devices. The methods include providing a firing pin to detonate the projectile; operably connecting a weighted body to the firing pin; and operably connecting a flexural portion to the weighted body to retain position of the weighted body due to centrifugal force generated by the rotation of the projectile to retain the firing pin in a detonation prevention position and move the weighted body to drive the firing pin to a detonation position upon impact of the projectile.

MECHANICAL THERMAL BATTERY INITIATOR
A mechanical thermal battery initiator for a round where the initiator has a firing pin positioned to strike a primer of a thermal battery upon activation. After installation of the initiator/battery assembly in a round, the end user need not perform any further tasks until firing the munition. At launch, any safety device installed to prevent unintended activation is removed or switched to an active state. When launched, the initiator is subjected to centripetal force and acceleration causing a setback ring to release ball bearings and a spring force from a firing pin spring to push a firing pin into contact with a primer to initiate power on the round.

Centrifugal fuze assembly
Fuze assembly systems, devices, and methods. The fuze assembly includes a baseplate; a first gear operably connected to the baseplate and rotatable about a fixed axis between a safety position and an armed position; and a retention device configured to retain the first gear in the safety position and enable rotation of the first gear while being subject to a centrifugal force above a first threshold from rotation of the assembly. The fuze assembly further includes a second gear in operable contact with the first gear and configured to move along a path of the baseplate due to the centrifugal force to rotate the first gear from the safety position to the armed position.

Device for producing an arming criterion, fuze and munition
A device produces an arming criterion for a fuze for a partly spinning munition. The munition has a first part which spins and a second part without or with little spin during flight of the munition. The device includes a sensor for outputting a characteristic variable for a relative rotation between the first part and the second part and a control unit for producing the arming criterion when the characteristic variable fulfils a flying criterion. The fuze for the partly spinning munition, which has at least one arming criterion, includes the device for providing the arming criterion or one of the arming criteria. The partly spinning munition includes the fuze with the device.
