TAPE MEASURE WITH FLEXIBLE FINGER BRAKE AND RELATED METHOD
A tape measure may include a housing including an interior space and a brake opening in communication with the interior space, a reel rotatably supported within the interior space, a tape blade at least partially wound on the reel, and a finger brake positioned adjacent the brake opening. The finger brake may include a support frame attached to the housing and including a frame opening, and a flexible member attached to the support frame and extending over the frame opening. The flexible member may be configured to deflect or elastically deform from a released position in which the flexible member is spaced apart from the tape blade to an engaged position in which at least a portion of the flexible member contacts a portion of the tape blade.
Measuring tape with finger stop
Disclosed is a measuring tape which comprises a housing, a reel received in the housing, and a blade wound on an outer surface of the reel and withdrawn or restored from an entrance of the housing, the measuring tape comprising: a finger recess formed through a bottom surface of the housing to expose a bottom surface of the blade; and a brake including a slide button exposed to the upper portion of the entrance, a brake plate slidely moving inside the housing depending on the movement of the slide button, and a brake port formed at an end of the brake plate to selectively press the upper surface of the blade, wherein the brake pork is positioned on the upper portion of the finger recess in a released state, and presses the upper surface of the blade by moving to the rear side of the finger recess in a locked state.
MEASURING TAPE WITH FINGER STOP

Roller tape measure with extensible stretching and measuring device
Exemplary embodiments relate to a roller tape measure comprising a housing and a flexible measuring tape that is in operative connection with the housing and that includes scale indicia on a surface thereof. The measuring tape extends within an interior area of the housing and includes a length portion that is selectively variably extendable and retractable from the housing interior area. The housing includes a hook in operative connection therewith that is movable between an extended position and a retracted position independently of extension and retraction of the measuring tape. The hook includes a hook bend portion with a measuring edge that extends perpendicular the measuring tape surface to facilitate reading of the scale indicia for measurement. In the extended position of the hook, the hook is configured to engage an article of flexible material to enable a portion of the article to be stretched for measurement.
Measuring tape with lock button guard
A measuring tape device may include a housing having an aperture, a reel assembly defining an axis, a blade having a first end configured to extend from the housing through the aperture and a second end configured to be wound on the reel assembly, a locking assembly configured to alternately allow and prevent winding of the blade onto the reel assembly based on a position of the locking assembly, and a guard assembly comprising guard members extending on opposing lateral sides of the locking assembly to protect the locking assembly from impact.
Tape measure
A device for measuring length of an object, comprising a coilable tape having a plurality of machine-readable measurement codes on at least one surface, each of the plurality of machine-readable measurement codes encoding for a length value corresponding to a length, a scan engine having a reading zone through which the coilable tape can be extended, the scan engine being configured to detect a machine-readable measurement code positioned within a reading zone, a processor in communication with the scan engine, and an output means selected from one or more of a visual display, a wireless transmitter, a memory, and a remote device, wherein upon extending the coilable tape to a particular length, such that the machine-readable measurement code encoding for the corresponding length value is positioned within the reading zone, the scan engine detects the machine-readable measurement code, receives the corresponding length value and provides the corresponding length value to the processor, the processor processes the corresponding length value, and provides the processed length value to the output means.

Tape measure structure
A tape measure structure is characterized in that an access opening of a housing assembly is configured with a flexible control element capable of being pressed to touch and stop a tape body movably installed inside the housing assembly, and a buffer for buffering the tape body is configured on one side of the flexible control element adjacent to the access opening. Whereby, the present invention can avoid the damage to the tape body, prevent the injury to users, and does not interfere hand feeling so as to make the operation convenient.
