LAWN MOWER ROBOT AND CONTROL METHOD FOR SAME
Disclosed are a lawn mower robot and a control method for same. A lawn mower robot and a control method for same according to an embodiment of the present invention can sense height information about the height between a lawn and the lower side of the lawn mower robot. The sensed height information is used as supporting data for calculating whether the lawn mower robot has deviated from a preset travel path, as well as the deviation direction. Accordingly, even when a separate sensing means is not provided, whether the lawn mower robot has deviated from the preset travel path is calculated using the height information about the height from the ground, and thus the lawn mower can be returned to the preset travel path.
Method for estimating the locking pressure in the brake system of a multi-axle vehicle
In a method for estimating the locking pressure in the brake system of a multi-axle vehicle during a dynamic axle-load transfer, the locking pressure is ascertained during the axle-load transfer and the wheel normal force is ascertained at two points in time during the axle-load transfer and the locking pressure is ascertained therefrom at the later point in time.

Acoustic measurement of fabrication equipment clearance
Methods and systems disclosed herein use acoustic energy to determine a gap between a wafer and an integrated circuit (IC) processing system and/or determine a thickness of a material layer of the wafer during IC processing implemented by the IC processing system. An exemplary method includes emitting acoustic energy through a substrate and a material layer disposed thereover. The substrate is positioned within an IC processing system. The method further includes receiving reflected acoustic energy from a surface of the substrate and a surface of the material layer disposed thereover and converting the reflected acoustic energy into electrical signals. The electrical signals indicate a thickness of the material layer.

BOWED ROTOR SENSOR SYSTEM
According to an aspect, a bowed rotor sensor system for a gas turbine engine is provided. The bowed rotor sensor system includes a bowed rotor sensor operable to transmit a sensing field in an observation region and receive a signal indicative of a gap between an air seal and a blade tip within the gas turbine engine. The bowed rotor sensor system also includes a controller operable to monitor a plurality of gap data from the bowed rotor sensor indicative of the gap between the air seal and the blade tip of a plurality of blades passing through the observation region and determine a bowed rotor status of the gas turbine engine based on the gap data.

ACCUMULATOR SENSOR APPARATUS, SYSTEM, AND METHOD
A sensor system for a dual bottle accumulator utilized with a subsea blowout preventer that monitors piston position with a position sensor in the hydraulic bottle, the gas pressure in the associated gas bottle with one or more pressure sensors, and sensors and remote actuators for associated valves.
Systems and methods for locating ground and air radio antennae for ground-to-air and air-to-air communications networks
The present disclosure provides a method and a system for determining locations of telecommunication ground stations. In one aspect, the method includes creating heat map data set representing air traffic volume at grid units of a geographic region, determining a ground station location at one of the grid units having air traffic volume greater than that of others of the grid units, modifying the heat map data by excluding data representing one or more of the grid units surrounding the ground station location, and repeating the determining and modifying steps until a predetermined quantity of ground station locations is determined.
