Tape dispenser for defining a perimeter, apparatus therefrom and methods therefor
A tape dispenser that includes a gripper pad and a tape reel. The tape reel includes a spool around which a tape is wound. The spool is enclosed in a housing that includes an opening through which a free end of the tape is allowed to pass through. The free end of the tape includes a fastener such as a hook. The housing also includes a tape lock and a roller handle. The gripper pad includes at least one suction pad, receiving means for a stake, or both. The tape reel and the gripper pad each include receiving means for a connecting means. The connecting means is a wedge connector, a magnetic connector, or the like, and combinations thereof. The tape reel is allowed to freely rotate while the gripper pad remains affixed onto a surface such as a floor, a lawn or a turf.

Multi-Tool Assembly
A multi-tool assembly includes a first housing and a tape measure that is integrated into the first housing. The tape measure is drawable outwardly from the first housing to facilitate distance to be measured. A second housing is hingedly coupled to the first housing and the second housing is positionable in a deployed position and a folded position. A blade slide is slidably integrated into the second housing and the blade slide is urgeable between an extending position and a retracting position. A blade is insertable into the blade slide and the blade extends outwardly from the second housing when the blade slide is positioned in the extending position for cutting. The blade is retracted within the second housing when the blade slide is positioned in the retracting position.
Self-retracting tape rule
A tape rule comprises a blade, a reel, a spring, a lock, and a housing. The blade comprises a substrate and a coating. The coating is configured to provide color, environmental protection, and/or abrasion resistance. In some embodiments, (1) the coating is formed from non-polymer materials; (2) the blade comprises reinforcements metallurgically bonded to the blade at or near a free end; (3) measurement indicia comprise laser marked portions of the substrate that create color contrasts with other portions of the substrate; (4) the measurement indicia comprise portions of the substrate visible through gaps in the coating; (5) the measurement indicia comprise voids in the substrate filled with a coating material having a contrasting color; and/or (6) the substrate has a surface texture configured to change an appearance of the coating relative to an appearance of the coating on an as-rolled surface finish of the metal substrate.

Tape measure device
A tape measure device for measuring pipes includes a spring return positioned in a housing. A tape is engaged to and is loopedly positioned around the spring return. The tape is selectively extensible from a front of the housing via a slot. A recess in a bottom of the housing extends from the front to a back and to proximate to the slot. A hook engaged to a second end of the tape can selectively engage a terminus of a substrate, enabling a user grasping the housing in a hand to extend the tape along the substrate. Indicia on the tape allow measurement of a distance from the second end of the tape. A fastener on the bottom of the housing can selectively engage the substrate to removably engage the housing to the substrate so that the user can release the housing.
Ergonomic tape measure
An ergonomic tape measure having a side which has a protruding surface that fills at least a part of the gripping cavity of an operator's hand and provides a comfortable and secure feeling grip when holding the tape measure. The tape measure can have a grip swell surface which fills part or all of the gripping cavity of an operator's hand. The tape measure can have a grip swell side center region which protrudes from a grip swell plane and into the gripping cavity of an operator's hand.

Tape measure attachment with brush and wiper element
A tape measure attachment with a brush and wiper element is shown and described. The tape measure attachment with a brush and wiper element includes a front section, wherein the front section has an aperture therein. The aperture contains a brush and wiper element therein. The aperture and the brush and wiper element are proportioned to accept a tape of a measuring tape therein. The front section is attached to a base at one end of the base. A pair of prongs are attached to the base near one end of the base, wherein the prongs are configured to frictionally engage a tape measure housing. A second pair of prongs are attached to the base near one end of the base, wherein the prongs are configured to frictionally engage a tape measure housing.
METROLOGY SYSTEM
Apparatuses, systems and methods associated with a metrology system for high-speed, non-contact coordinate measurements of parts are disclosed herein. In embodiments, the metrology system includes a metrology bridge to be coupled to a measurement assembly. The measurement assembly may include a stage moveable across multiple independent axes. The bridge may include a housing, mounting members coupled to the housing, and a plurality of sensors mounted within the housing. The mounting members may rotatably couple the housing to the measurement assembly. Further, sensor elements of the plurality of sensor devices may be aligned along a length of the housing and may be directed out of the housing.
