LENGTH GAUGE
Devices and methods for quickly and accurately measuring the distance between two carriers of item processing equipment. The devices and methods can include an elongate bar and associated components which may increase the magnitude of lengths that can be measured.
POSITIONING APPARATUS WITH AN ASSOCIATED TRANSFER MECHANISM
An apparatus including an inspection apparatus for inspecting an artefact, and a transfer mechanism for moving a pallet on which an artefact is located relative to the inspection apparatus so as to move the pallet to and from an inspection location, and further including at least one pallet lifter which can be actuated between a retracted and an extended configuration, configured such that when a pallet is at the inspection location the at least one pallet lifter can be actuated to its extended configuration so as to engage with and lift the pallet and thereby decouple the pallet from the transfer mechanism.
Estimating gemstone weight in mounted settings
A system comprises a faceted structure imaging assembly and a faceted structure image analyzer. The system is configured to determine carat weight of a gemstone while in a mounted setting. In a first mode, the imaging assembly obtains a first image of a top gemstone surface. The image analyzer uses the first image to obtain at least one gemstone dimension, such as table and diameter dimensions. In a second mode, the imaging assembly obtains a second image of the top gemstone surface while a colored light pattern is reflected onto the gemstone. The image analyzer uses the second image to obtain at least one other gemstone dimension, such as crown and pavilion angles. The image analyzer uses the dimensions obtained from the first and second images to determine weight information of the gemstone. The system quickly determines gemstone weight reliably and consistently without skilled gemologists or removal from the setting.
Irregular object length measuring instrument
The disclosure is an irregular object length measuring instrument, comprising a first fixing seat, at least two mounting flanges are provided on an edge of the first fixing seat, and a notch is provided on the first fixing seat, a shaft sleeve, the shaft sleeve is mounted on the mounting flange, a main board, a battery is installed on the main board, a gear and an angle sensor are installed on the main board, and the angle sensor is installed on the gear, a second fixing seat, an edge of the second fixing seat is provided with a matching flange that cooperates with the mounting flange, the second fixing seat is installed on the first fixing seat, and the main board is fixedly installed on the first fixing seat or the second fixing seat, a swivel, an outer side of the swivel is provided with a ring groove.
Method and apparatus for determining a relative position of an axis of rotation of a rotary table for a coordinate measuring machine
A method is described for determining a relative position of an axis of rotation of a rotary table of a coordinate measuring machine. The rotary table has or forms a reference element that is arranged eccentrically in relation to the axis of rotation. The method includes a measuring step including performing a rotary movement of the rotary table, and producing measuring points that encode a position of the reference element by a sensor of the coordinate measuring machine during the rotary movement. The method includes a determining step including determining the relative position of the axis of rotation of the rotary table based on the measuring points.
Comprehensive Checking Fixture for Steering Knuckle
A checking fixture for a steering knuckle. In use, a workpiece is mounted on the checking fixture, three locating points of the workpiece in the X direction respectively correspond to a supporting pin I, a supporting pin II and a supporting pin III, a locating taper hole limiting the motion of the workpiece in a YZ plane corresponds to the floating pin, and a locating point of the workpiece in the Y direction levelly fit to a supporting surface of a locating pin; after location is completed, the workpiece is tightly clamped by a jacking clamp, a press clamp I and a press clamp II. The checking fixture for the steering knuckle can measure the position accuracy of each hole of the steering knuckle workpiece, and can detect whether the relative height of the flange plane of the workpiece relative to the X-direction locating points is qualified.
FIXTURE-ASSEMBLING SYSTEM
A system for assembling a fixture to hold a workpiece for measurement by a CMM includes a plurality of fixture components. The fixture components are used to assemble the fixture. The system also includes a fixture plate having a plurality of fixture component securing portions that are configured to couple with the fixture components to define the fixture. The fixture is configured to couple with the workpiece to hold the workpiece in a predefined orientation. A fixture identifier is configured to identify the fixture components, and a securing portion identifier is configured to identify the securing portions that couple with the fixture components. A visual emphasizing unit is configured to visually emphasize one or more of the fixture components and/or one or more of the securing portions to provide an indication of a fixture component that is to be coupled with a corresponding securing portion
Alignment of laser for gear inspection
A process for aligning a laser in a gear inspection system is disclosed. The method comprises fixing a gear for inspection within a gear inspection system and emitting a first signal from a laser to a point of interest of the gear. A reflection of the first signal is received as the first signal reflects off the point of interest of the gear. Based on the reflection of the first signal, an orientation of the laser is adjusted. Subsequently, a second signal is emitted from the laser to the point of interest of the gear, and a reflection of the second signal is received as the second signal reflects off the point of interest of the gear. Values corresponding to the orientation of the laser are stored based on the reflection of the second signal.
INSPECTION GAUGE FOR COORDINATE MEASURING APPARATUS AND ABNORMALITY DETERMINATION METHOD
The inspection gauge is an inspection gauge for a coordinate measuring apparatus having a triangular pyramid shape, and includes a plurality of support members in which first ends are provided at positions corresponding to vertexes of the triangular pyramid and second ends are connected to each other in a region inside the triangular pyramid, and a plurality of spheres provided at positions corresponding to the vertexes of the triangular pyramid on the plurality of support members, and at least three support members of the plurality of support members have mutually different shapes.
