SPATIAL MEASURMENT SYSTEM FOR AGRICULTURAL APPLICATIONS
A system for obtaining spatial measurements between objects such as crops in an agricultural field. The system includes a measurement device including a motorized reel containing a wound length of measuring line, and electronic encoder with shaft rotated in opposing directions by dispensing or retrieving measuring line. A pivotably movable spring-biased tension arm maintains tension in the line when being rewound. The tension arm is responsive to changes in line tension and configured to automatically start the motor to rewind the line onto the reel based on angular position of the arm. A gear train includes a translatable shuttle gear which selectively couples the reel to the motor based on movement of the tension arm. The encoder converts rotary motion of its shaft into linear field measurements. In one implementation, the tension arm comprises an inboard arm and outboard arm with translatable pulley coupled thereto by an articulated joint.

Method for Constructing Structure Framework with Graduated Tracks and Studs
A metered track and stud framework erection method and system is disclosed. The system employs tracks which are metered to facilitate the rapid and accurate placement of studs between the tracks at equidistant spacing as required by conventional building codes and statutes. The studs are also metered or graduated, preferably in inches and centimeters, to facilitate the correct and appropriate placement of electrical outlets and plumbing avenues without costly errors. A method is disclosed for the proper use of the metered tracks and studs to efficiently and rapidly erect structure framework.
CLEARANCE GAGE
A clearance gage that includes an elongated shaft having a first end and a second end, a gage element connected to the first end of the elongated shaft, where the gage element defines a first width and a second width measured perpendicular to the elongated shaft, where the first width is larger than the second width, where a thickness of the elongated shaft is not more than the second width, where the first width defines a size of the gage element to assess a gap clearance between two components, and a marker connected to the elongated shaft, where the marker is positioned at a predetermined distance from the gage element along the elongated shaft, where the marker defines a marker width measured in a direction perpendicular to the elongated shaft that is greater than the second width of the gage element.
System for measuring a bending deformation of a surface of a material
A system for measuring a bending deformation of a surface of a material which cooperates with a bending test machine to deform a test piece. The system includes a first portion with lateral teeth which bear against an upper surface of the test piece. A first load support connected to the lateral teeth applies a constant force towards the test piece. A second portion with a central tooth bears against the upper surface. A second load support connected to the central tooth applies a constant force oriented towards the test piece. A measuring device includes a deformation sensor having a first arm connected to the first portion, and a second arm connected to the second portion. The first arm and the second arm are separated from each other by a variable distance (ΔB) measured by the measuring device.
