Provided is an apparatus for measuring a droplet length using a capacitive electrode including: a disposable panel; a board separated from the disposable panel and configured to be reused separately from the disposable panel; a sensing electrode unit patterned on an upper surface of the board and configured to measure a length of a droplet depending on a voltage value measured depending on a capacitance value of the fluid passing through the microfluid channel; a thin film provided on a lower surface of the disposable panel; and a negative pressure forming means configured to apply a negative pressure between the disposable panel and the board so that the disposable panel and the board are attached to or detached from each other.
CAPACITANCE SENSING FOR COMPONENT POSITIONING DETECTION
Disclosed herein are drug delivery devices and methods for component positioning of a pump, such as a linear shuttle pump. In some approaches, a system may include first and second terminals movable with respect to one another, and a sensor device operable to detect a change in capacitance between the first and second terminals as the first and second terminals move with respect to one another. The sensor device may include a two-stage charger connected with a controller and a voltage source, the two-stage charger having a first capacitor connected with a first switch and a second capacitor connected with a second switch, the controller being operable to close the first switch to connect the first capacitor with the voltage source to charge the first capacitor, and open the first switch and close the second switch to connect the second capacitor with the voltage source to charge the second capacitor.
Elastic Sensor
A stretchable sensor patch comprising: an elastic film layer with a stretchability of at least 100% and at least one elastic DEAP strip with a stretchability of at least 50%. The sensor patch may comprise an integrated circuit, a memory, an energy source, an adhesion layer for adhesion of the film layer to a skin, and a protective layer. A sensor system with such a sensor patch is also disclosed.
Material damage system and method for determining same
A system and method for determining a change in a thickness and temperature of a surface of a material are disclosed herein. The system and the method are usable in a thermal protection system of a space vehicle, such as an aeroshell of a space vehicle. The system and method may incorporate micro electric sensors arranged in a ladder network and capacitor strip sensors. Corrosion or ablation causes a change in an electrical property of the sensors. An amount of or rate of the corrosion or the ablation and a temperature of the material is determined based on the change of the electrical property of the sensors.
Capacitive distance sensor
A capacitive distance sensor includes a sensor element having an electrically conductive, elongated, flat sensor area which in turn contains a number of holes. The sensor area is completely surrounded by an electrically non-conductive insulating body, with the result that the insulating body completely covers the edge regions of the holes. The sensor element is produced, in particular, by first of all making the holes in the sensor area. In a subsequent step, the sensor area is completely encased by the insulating body which also completely fills the holes in the sensor area.

A method for determining the vibration of turbomachine rotor blades, including steps of measuring, via one or more sensors, the variation in the minimum distance between each sensor and the top of each blade along a radial axis of the rotor, between successive rotations of each blade in front of each sensor, a minimum distance value being obtained on each passage of each blade in front of each sensor, in order to deduce therefrom a variation in the lengths of the blades along the radial axis; and, using directly, as such, the variation in the length of the blades along the radial axis in a model of the deformation of the blades, in order to deduce therefrom characteristics of one or more vibrational modes of the rotating blades. A turbomachine can be equipped with a device implementing this method.
