Optical endoluminal far-field microscopic imaging catheter

An optical endoluminal far-field microscopic imaging catheter comprises a light generating system, a first light delivery conduit for propagating light generated by the light generating system and a light distributor configured to redirect light propagated by the delivery conduit into a direction of an object to be imaged. A discriminator is configured for capturing light reflected from the object incident on a window of the discriminator from a particular direction and transmitting only the light captured from the particular direction to a second light delivery conduit. A drive mechanism is configured to sweep the window through a plurality of directions in a predictable pattern for matching each light capture event in the window with a direction of the window during the event. An analyzer matches the direction of the window with an associated light capture event and generate a visible image based on a mosaic of the captured light.

Systems and methods for transprojection of geometry data acquired by a coordinate measuring machine (CMM). The CMM acquires geometry data corresponding to 3D coordinate measurements collected by a measuring probe that are transformed into scaled 2D data that is transprojected upon various digital object image views captured by a camera. The transprojection process can utilize stored image and coordinate information or perform live transprojection viewing capabilities in both still image and video modes.

Integrated optical coherence analysis system

Optical coherence tomography (OCT) probe and system designs are disclosed that minimize the effects of mechanical movement and strain to the probe to the OCT analysis. It also concerns optical designs that are robust against noise from the OCT laser source. Also integrated OCT system-probes are included that yield compact and robust electro-opto-mechanical systems along with polarization sensitive OCT systems.

The present application in some embodiments relates to methods for directing a procedure in a region of interest (ROI) using an access tube for introducing an optical coherence tomography (OCT) scanning head into the ROI and/or scanning the ROI with the scanning head. Optionally the scanning head is retracting from ROI via the access tube while the distal end of the access tube remains in the ROI and a second tool is introduced into ROI via the access tube. An access tube may include a standard cannula and/or some or all of a distal opening, a proximal opening and/or a window. All or part of an OCT engine and/or a control system (for example including a location indicator for 3D collage image composition) may be attached to the tool. In some embodiments an OCT tool, control system and/or OCT engine may be fully retractable from the access tube.
