Systems and methods for updating navigational maps
Systems and methods for updating navigational maps based using at least one sensor are provided. In one aspect, a control system for an autonomous vehicle, includes a processor and a computer-readable memory configured to cause the processor to: receive output from at least one sensor located on the autonomous vehicle indicative of a driving environment of the autonomous vehicle, retrieve a navigational map used for driving the autonomous vehicle, and detect one or more inconsistencies between the output of the at least one sensor and the navigational map. The computer-readable memory is further configured to cause the processor to: in response to detecting the one or more inconsistencies, trigger mapping of the driving environment based on the output of the at least one sensor, update the navigational map based on the mapped driving environment, and drive the autonomous vehicle using the updated navigational map.

Current data for a geographic area is accessed. The current data comprises at least one of (a) current traffic data for the geographic area, (b) current incident data for the geographic area, or (c) current weather data for the geographic area. Based on the current data, autonomous driving instructions are determined for the geographic area. A notification comprising the autonomous driving instructions is provided such that the notification is received by a vehicle apparatus located within the geographic area or expected to enter the geographic area based on a route being traversed by a vehicle corresponding to the vehicle apparatus. The vehicle apparatus is onboard the vehicle and is configured to control the vehicle in accordance with the autonomous driving instructions.

The present disclosure provides a route processing method and apparatus. The solution includes: acquiring an initial traveling route, which includes a plurality of track points, corresponding to a vehicle; determining a vehicle traveling area, which includes an area where the vehicle is located when traveling to the track point, corresponding to each track point; determining at least one target track point in the plurality of track points according to the vehicle traveling area, where a first obstacle exists in the vehicle traveling area; performing updating processing on a position of each target track point in the initial traveling route respectively according to the position of the each target track point and a position of the first obstacle, and obtaining a target traveling route according to the target track point for which the updating processing has been performed; and controlling the vehicle to travel according to the target traveling route.
