Disclosed are an apparatus for measuring a position of a probe for an inclinometer, and a probe. A system for measuring fence posts in a fence run includes a leading unit and a trailing unit. The leading unit includes a first measurement wire extending through a first rotary encoder and terminating in a second rotary encoder, a second measurement wire terminating in a third rotary encoder, and a third measurement wire terminating in a fourth rotary encoder, as well as a clamp to secure the leading unit to a fence post. The trailing unit includes a first rotary encoder to engage with the first measurement wire of the leading unit and a measurement wire terminating in a second rotary encoder, as well as a clamp to secure the trailing unit to a fence post.

There is provided with a radar unit that includes transmission/reception antennas, a holding unit that holds the transmission/reception antennas such that the transmission/reception antennas face the ground, a large spherical wheel that has an inside wall on which one end of the holding unit is fixed, three or more small spherical wheels that hold an upper half portion of the large spherical wheel such that the large spherical wheel is rollable, a movement amount sensor that detects a movement amount generated by rolling of the large spherical wheel, and a control unit that is connected to the radar unit and the movement amount sensor.

A template for use in installing electrical boxes. The template may be used to install electrical boxes in both new and old work. An elongated member is configured to grip and frictionally engage a wall stud with a pair of stud gripping components. A plurality of spacers may be inserted between the elongated member and the wall stud to set the installation depth based on the thickness of the drywall to be installed. A pair of electrical cutouts are positioned along the elongated member at a desired height to locate a height of the electrical boxes. A second pair of cutouts are positioned along the elongated member at a second desired height to locate a second height of the electrical boxes. In an additional embodiment, the template is a mat with an electrical box cutout for locating the installation position for the electrical boxes on a finished wall.

A template for use in installing electrical boxes. The template may be used to install electrical boxes in both new and old work. A tool, such as a level, including one or more polymer/plastic body segment, protective cover and/or seal is provided. The covers discussed herein may limit or prevent dirt or construction materials, such as concrete, from entering into the level body. The cover may also be a non-stick material, such as a polymer outer sleeve, that limits the ability of dirt and construction material to adhere to the level. The level may also include scratch resistant vial windows.

A level with a clip and removable end cap is provided. The end cap includes an outer member and locking member received within a clip that is affixed inside an end of the level. The locking member is inserted into the outer member pushing a moveable portion of the outer member into an engagement, such as a shearing engagement, that holds the end cap assembly in place relative to the level body. The clip includes a projection that interfaces with an aperture in the level frame.

A level with a clip and removable end cap is provided. The end cap includes an outer member and locking member received within a clip that is affixed inside an end of the level. The locking member is inserted into the outer member pushing a moveable portion of the outer member into an engagement, such as a shearing engagement, that holds the end cap assembly in place relative to the level body. The clip includes a projection that interfaces with an aperture in the level frame.
