COMBINED PLUG-SENSOR WHEEL FOR A CAMSHAFT
A combined plug-sensor wheel for a camshaft is disclosed. The combined plug-sensor wheel includes a pin projecting in an axial direction of the camshaft. The pin, when inserted into the camshaft, seals the camshaft in a fluid-tight manner. According to an implementation, the combined plug-sensor wheel and the camshaft are incorporated into an internal combustion engine.
Angular position sensor
An angular position sensor for sensing the angular position of a rotor rotating on an axis relative to a stator, including a ferromagnetic target, of substantially ovoid cross section, rotating together with one from among the rotor or the stator, and a sensitive element including a first set of coils that are angularly evenly distributed, rotating together with the other from among the rotor or the stator, the coils being axially arranged in line with the target in order to be able to measure a distance from the target so as to deduce therefrom an angular position of the rotor relative to the stator.
ARRANGEMENTS FOR MAGNETIC FIELD SENSORS TO CANCEL OFFSET VARIATIONS
Magnetic field sensors can sense speed of movement and direction of movement of a ferromagnetic object. Particular arrangements of magnetic field sensing elements within the magnetic field sensor can automatically cancel offset variations in the magnetic field sensing elements.

A cam is immersed in water at an elevated temperature and/or pressure. A reciprocating cam follower also immersed in the water contacts a surface of the cam. The cam follower includes a permanent magnet. An electrically conductive coil is magnetically coupled with the permanent magnet such that movement of the cam follower induces an electrical signal in the electrically conductive coil. A sealed housing also immersed in the water contains the electrically conductive coil and seals it from contact with the water. Leads of the coil are electrically accessible from outside the sealed housing and from outside the water. Alternatively, the cam includes magnetic inserts, the cam follower is replaced by a sensor arm of magnetic material, and the sensor arm and/or the inserts are magnetized whereby rotation of the rotary element causes time modulation of the magnetic coupling and induces coil voltage.
Position detection device
In a position detection device of a type that omits a secondary coil, various inconveniences arising from the use of a voltage-dividing resistance (fixed resistor) are eliminated. At least two pairs of coils are provided. A magnetism-responsive member are placed so as to effect relative displacement in relation to the coils, the relative position of the member in relation to the coils varies with a position of a detection object, and impedance of each coil is varied with the relative position. The impedance changes of two coils constituting each one of coil pairs present characteristics of mutually opposite phase characteristics. For each coil pair, the two coils constituting the pair are connected in series with each other, and from a connection point thereof, a voltage-divided output voltage according to the impedance of the two coils is taken out as a detection output signal for the pair.
Resolver
A resolver that ensures improvement in a detection sensitivity is provided. The resolver according to the present disclosure includes a rotor and a stator arranged to surround an outer peripheral surface of the rotor. The rotor includes a rotor core, the stator includes a stator core and a coil, the stator core includes a plurality of teeth disposed at intervals along a circumferential direction, the plurality of teeth project toward the outer peripheral surface side of the rotor, and the coil is wound around the plurality of teeth. A gap permeance between the rotor and the stator varies in association with a rotation around a rotation axis of the rotor. The rotor further includes a porous machinable film containing a magnetic metal, and the porous machinable film is disposed on a projecting portion on an outer peripheral surface of the rotor core.
