INTEGRATED ICE PROTECTION WITH PROGNOSTICS AND HEALTH MANAGEMENT
Provided are embodiments for method and system for performing an integrated ice protection with prognostics and health management using fiber optic sensors. Embodiments can include reading a signal from each sensor of an array of sensors installed on a surface of a structure or equipment, wherein each sensor is a fiber optic sensor, and generating a map based on reading the signal from each sensor, wherein the map monitors a condition of the surface detected by each sensor. Embodiments can also include determining at least one of an abnormal condition or a failure based at least in part on reading the signal from each sensor; and performing at least one of adjusting power control for the structure or equipment or communicating the abnormal condition or failure of the structure or equipment.
DATA DISPLAY SYSTEM FOR AN AIRCRAFT
A piloting assistance system for assisting the piloting of a vehicle, the piloting assistance system comprising at least one display and a plurality of sensors for each measuring a value of a given parameter, the at least one display being configured to display a symbol carrying the value, the plurality of sensors comprising redundant sensors with a redundancy of order three or higher. The piloting assistance system comprises a display controller configured to select, according to stored logic, a selected sensor from the plurality of sensors, the at least one display using the value of the parameter measured with the selected sensor to display the symbol.
Assembly process of two substrates
A method for assembling two substrates by molecular adhesion comprises: a first step (a) of putting first and second substrates in close contact in order to form an assembly having an assembly interface; a second step (b) of reinforcing the degree of adhesion of the assembly beyond a threshold adhesion value at which water is no longer able to diffuse along the assembly interface. The method also comprises a step (c) of anhydrous treatment of the first and second substrates in a treatment atmosphere having a dew point below −10° C., and control of the dew point of a working atmosphere to which the first and second substrates are exposed from the anhydrous treatment step (c) until the end of the second step (b) so as to limit or prevent the appearance of bonding defects at the assembly interface.
Method of assisting piloting a hybrid rotorcraft provided with a lift rotor and with at least one propeller propulsive rotor that generates thrust
A method of facilitating piloting a hybrid rotorcraft having at least one propulsive rotor provided with a plurality of first blades and a lift rotor provided with a plurality of second blades, the hybrid rotorcraft having a power plant. The method includes a step of displaying on a single indicator a first pointer, the position of which along a movement path varies as a function of a first power from the power plant that is consumed by the propulsive system, and of displaying a second pointer, the position of which varies as a function of a second power of the power plant that is consumed by the lift rotor, a variable space between the first pointer and the second pointer representing a power margin from the power plant that is not used so long as the first pointer is situated between the first end and the second pointer.
Pilot-configurable information on a display unit
A small thin display unit that can be installed in the flight deck for displaying only flight crew-selected tactical information needed for the task at hand. The flight crew can select the tactical information to be displayed by means of any conventional user interface. Whenever the flight crew selects tactical information for display, the user interface sends a corresponding request for tactical information to a computer system. The computer system processes the request, including periodically retrieving measured current values or computing current values for the requested tactical parameters and returning those current tactical parameter values to the display unit for display.
Display system for an aircraft
