ENCODER AND METHOD OF USING SAME
An encoder, comprising a first element, a second element, and a plurality of components, in which the first element is movable among a plurality of positions relative to the second element, each position is adjacent to at least one other position, each component generates a signal at each of said positions, and movement of the first element from any position to any adjacent position results in a change in a signal from only one of said components. Also, an encoder that comprises a multi-detector element which comprises two or more sub-detectors that generate sub-signals, the sub-detectors spaced from each other a distance (rotational and/or translational) that is smaller than a distance between two positions of a first element. Also, a method of detecting a position of a first element relative to a second element, comprising moving a first element relative to a second element from a first position to a second position.
SENSOR ASSEMBLIES COUPLED TO SLIDING ASSEMBLIES FOR POSITION SENSING
According to examples, an apparatus may include a base, a sliding assembly slideably coupled to the base, and a sensor assembly coupled to the sliding assembly. The sliding assembly may moveably support a control panel and the sensor assembly may sense positions of the sliding assembly relative to the base. The sensor assembly may include a first sensor to sense that the sliding assembly is in a first position relative to the base, and a second sensor to sense that the sliding assembly is in a second position relative to the base. A sensed state of the first sensor and a sensed state of the second sensor may be used to determine that the sliding assembly is in a third position relative to the base.

POWER DEVICE MONITORING SYSTEM
The present disclosure relates to a power device monitoring system comprising: a cradle having a cradle terminal formed on the rear side thereof; a circuit breaker mechanically or electrically connected to or separated from the cradle terminal; at least one position detection means mounted inside the circuit breaker so as to detect the position of a circuit breaker body in real time; and a display unit for outputting the mobile characteristic of the circuit breaker body detected by the position detection means.
DETECTING DEVICE, DETECTING APPARATUS, AND METHOD FOR DETECTING PRESENCE OF SUBSTANCE IN CONTAINER
A detecting apparatus includes a container, and a detecting device including a transmitting module and a receiving module. The transmitting module includes a light-emitting element provided at a first point of the container and operable to transmit a photo signal to propagate toward the container along an optical path. The receiving module includes a light-receiving element provided at a second point of the container and configured to receive the photo signal transmitted through the container. The receiving module is operable to determine whether a substance is present within the container based on receipt of the photo signal. An imaginary tangent plane tangent to the first point is not parallel to an imaginary tangent plane tangent to the second point.
