Cost Effective Pressure Sensors for Gas Meters
Cost effective pressure sensors for gas meters are described herein. In an example, responsive to an abnormal condition at an ultrasonic metrology unit of a gas meter, rates of pressure sensor operation are increased. In the example, the operations may include: measuring gas-environment pressure values; measuring contemporaneous air-environment pressure values; calculating pressure difference values of the gas-environment pressure values minus the contemporaneous air-environment pressure values; and comparing pressure difference values to one or more threshold values.
FLOW DETECTOR AND METHOD FOR MONITORING AN ADHESIVE FLOW
A flow detector for monitoring an adhesive flow in an adhesive applicator includes a sensor device arranged in the adhesive flow. The sensor device is formed as a capacitive sensor.
SENSOR DETECTION OF THE PRESENCE OF AN AIR CORE IN A FLUID CONDUCTOR, AND THE FLOW RATE OF THE FLUID IN THE CONDUCTOR
Apparatus features a signal processor or signal processing module configured to: receive signaling containing information about a central air-core of an overflow pipe of a hydrocyclone where fluid flow is concentrated in an outer annular region of the overflow pipe that is against an inner wall of the overflow pipe during a normal operation of the hydrocyclone; and determine corresponding signaling containing information about a collapse of the central air-core of the overflow pipe of the hydrocyclone during an abnormal operation of the hydrocyclone, based upon the signaling received. The signaling contains information about a fluid flow rate of the fluid flow by detecting a change in the magnitude of a force and/or a moment on the probe.
AIRFLOW SENSORS FOR SPEAKERS
Aspects of the subject technology relate to electronic devices having speakers and airflow sensors for the speakers. In one or more implementations, the airflow sensor may be formed, in part, by a mesh structure that spans a port in a housing of the electronic device. In one or more implementations, the airflow sensor may be formed, in part, by an exposed portion of a conductive trace of the speaker.

Gas separator and apparatus for measuring flow of one or more components of a multiphase medium, especially a natural gas-water mixture
A gas separator for separating a multiphase medium containing a gas and a liquid includes a tubular basic unit having a longitudinal axis, an intake for a gaseous medium, a liquid outlet and a gas outlet. The tubular basic unit has an intake region and a discharge region. The gas separator includes, between the intake region and the discharge region, a weir having a guiding surface, over which the medium can flow to form a shallow water region. The gas contained in the medium can escape from the medium in the shallow water region and be led away from the gas separator through the gas outlet. The disclosure is also directed to an apparatus for registering flow of at least one component of a multiphase medium.
