The invention relates to a counter for coupling to a measuring mechanism of a fluid meter, wherein an output of measuring mechanism gear is in operative engagement with a gear on the side of the counter, the gear on the counter being designed to adapt to the rotational direction of the measuring mechanism by means of a change wheel. The invention also relates to a counter, which can be connected to a modular base plate system via a mechanical interface, wherein the base plates of this system can be designed having differently arranged detent or engagement elements.

A system for monitoring and verifying a delivery process during which a fluid is delivered, via a bunker line, from a supplying marine vessel to a receiving marine vessel is disclosed. A data capture device comprises a measurement apparatus configured to measure one or more parameters related to the delivery process, such as a mass flow rate of the fluid through the bunker line or a density or a temperature of the fluid. A measurement apparatus being configured to generate an electronic record that can be stored in a memory. The system further includes a private network to provide a point-to-point wireless link between the supplying marine vessel and the receiving marine vessel. The client device is configured to generate a dashboard configured to present the electronic record to the first and second users and to accept an electronic signature of each of the first and second users.
METHOD FOR OPERATING A FLOWMETER AND FLOWMETER
A method for operating a flowmeter having at least one diagnostic unit, a counter unit and a storage unit with at least one memory for carrying out a plurality of time-limited measuring operations during which the counter unit determines at least the overall volume of a fluid passing through the flowmeter during one measuring operation. The counter unit is operated for the duration of a time-limited measuring operation, and the diagnostic unit recognizes at least one erroneous or error-free state of the flowmeter. The method ensures a particularly high reliability of the measured values determined during an individual measuring operation by the diagnostic unit generating at least one status message based on the state that is transmitted to the storage unit and stored in the memory, and by several status messages being transmitted and cumulatively stored in the memory at least for the duration of the measuring operation.
METHOD FOR OPERATING A COUNTER DEVICE FOR A FLUID, COUNTER DEVICE AND COUNTER SYSTEM
A method operates a counter device for a fluid which can be connected via a connecting device to a meter point having at least one line through which the fluid flows. A control device is configured when connected via at least one operating parameter specific for the meter point and/or a meter point environment. When the counter device is taken into operation, the operating parameters are called up by a communication device on the counter device side communicating wirelessly by radio via a communication link with a passive communication device on the meter point side. The operating parameters are stored in a storage device of the passive communication device.
METER AND METHOD FOR DETERMINING METER READINGS AND METHOD FOR THE WIRELESS TRANSMISSION OF ELECTRICAL ENERGY
A meter includes a hermetically encapsulated electronic metering mechanism having a meter unit for the determination of meter readings, the metering mechanism including a data memory for storing the meter readings, and the metering unit including an antenna of a defined shape, and a readout unit arranged outside the metering mechanism for reading the meter readings from the data memory. The meter is operated according to a method for the determination of meter readings and for the wireless transmission of electrical energy. The shape of the readout unit antenna is identical to the shape of the metering unit antenna, wherein the congruent and predefined positioning of the readout unit antenna ensures an effective wireless energy supply to the metering unit by electromagnetic radiation through the readout unit, and, independently thereof, a stable wireless data coupling for the determination of meter readings between the metering unit and the readout unit.
LIQUID VOLUME MEASUREMENT DEVICE
The present invention relates to a measurement device (10) for measuring a volume of liquid contained in a vessel, comprising: —a main vessel (12) for receiving a liquid; —a reference vessel (14) which has a smaller volume than the main vessel (12), wherein the main vessel (12) and the reference vessel (14) are fluidly connectable to each other as communicating vessels; —a pump (16) which is connected to the main vessel (12) and the reference vessel (14) for extracting liquid from the main vessel (12) and the reference vessel (14); —a minimum level sensor (26) which is configured to send a reference signal if a minimum liquid level within the reference vessel (14) is reached; —a first valve (20, 20′) via which the reference vessel (14) is fluidly connected to the pump (16), wherein the first valve (20, 20′) is configured to be closed off if the minimum liquid level within the reference vessel (14) is reached; and —a control unit (30) which is connected to the minimum level sensor (26, 26′) and the pump (16) and configured to measure a reference time between an activation of the pump (16) and a receipt of the reference signal, wherein the control unit (30) is further configured to calculate, based on the reference time and a flow rate of the pump (16), a liquid volume within the main vessel (12) and/or a total liquid volume within the main vessel (12) and the reference vessel (14) together.
LIQUID VOLUME MEASUREMENT DEVICE
The present invention relates to a measurement device (10) for measuring a volume of liquid contained in a vessel, comprising: —a main vessel (12) for receiving a liquid; —a reference vessel (14) which has a smaller volume than the main vessel (12), wherein the main vessel (12) and the reference vessel (14) are fluidly connectable to each other as communicating vessels; —a pump (16) which is connected to the main vessel (12) and the reference vessel (14) for extracting liquid from the main vessel (12) and the reference vessel (14); —a minimum level sensor (26) which is configured to send a reference signal if a minimum liquid level within the reference vessel (14) is reached; —a first valve (20, 20′) via which the reference vessel (14) is fluidly connected to the pump (16), wherein the first valve (20, 20′) is configured to be closed off if the minimum liquid level within the reference vessel (14) is reached; and —a control unit (30) which is connected to the minimum level sensor (26, 26′) and the pump (16) and configured to measure a reference time between an activation of the pump (16) and a receipt of the reference signal, wherein the control unit (30) is further configured to calculate, based on the reference time and a flow rate of the pump (16), a liquid volume within the main vessel (12) and/or a total liquid volume within the main vessel (12) and the reference vessel (14) together.
Flow meter device
A flow meter device includes plural fluid passages which are provided between an inlet section into which a fluid flows and an outlet section from which the fluid flows out, and through which the fluid flows and flow value measuring units installed in the plural fluid passages, respectively. The flow value measuring units are configured to measure flow values of the fluid flowing through the fluid passages. The flow meter device further includes a control unit configured to determine whether or not to cause one or more of the flow value measuring units to stop a measuring operation of the flow value based on the flow values measured by the flow value measuring units. The control unit is further configured to determine whether or not to cause the one or more of the flow value measuring units to resume the measuring operation of the flow value, based on the flow value measured by the flow value measuring unit as a monitoring measuring unit which is other than the one or more of the flow value measuring units and is activated to perform the measuring operation of the flow value.
Flow meter device
A flow meter device includes plural fluid passages which are provided between an inlet section into which a fluid flows and an outlet section from which the fluid flows out, and through which the fluid flows and flow value measuring units installed in the plural fluid passages, respectively. The flow value measuring units are configured to measure flow values of the fluid flowing through the fluid passages. The flow meter device further includes a control unit configured to determine whether or not to cause one or more of the flow value measuring units to stop a measuring operation of the flow value based on the flow values measured by the flow value measuring units. The control unit is further configured to determine whether or not to cause the one or more of the flow value measuring units to resume the measuring operation of the flow value, based on the flow value measured by the flow value measuring unit as a monitoring measuring unit which is other than the one or more of the flow value measuring units and is activated to perform the measuring operation of the flow value.
WATER METERING DEVICE AND METHODS FOR WATER CONSUMPTION APPORTIONMENT
A method for detecting fluid consumption that includes: detecting, by a fluid meter mounted on an exterior of a pipe containing fluid, a first time of flight between a first ultrasonic transducer and a second ultrasonic transducer; detecting, by the fluid meter, a second time of flight between the second ultrasonic transducer and the first ultrasonic transducer; determining a time of flight difference between the first time of flight and the second time of flight; determining a volumetric flow rate based on an environmental correction parameter and the time of flight difference; and generating a fluid volume consumption total for fluid flowing through the pipe based on the volumetric flow rate.
