ACOUSTIC DOSE METER
An acoustic dose meter is provided comprising a housing, and a cylindrical seat for staging a pressurized medicine canister. The housing includes at least one compartment for housing electronics and passageways for connecting electronics for power and data communication. A microprocessor including a transient memory containing machine instruction is also included. Additionally, a power source connected to the microprocessor, a power switch connected to the microprocessor and the power source for booting the microprocessor are added. At least one visual display device connected to the microprocessor for displaying available doses is provided. A first set of acoustic sensors connected to the microprocessor and adapted as acoustic sound generators and a second set of acoustic sensors connected to the microprocessor and adapted as acoustic soundwave recorders are implemented to detect and analyze frequencies enabling determining of dosing count availability.
AI ROBOT CLEANER AND ROBOT SYSTEM HAVING THE SAME
Disclosed is a robot cleaner including a main body forming an outer shape, a water tank including a water level sensor and storing water, a pair of rotary mops to which a cleaning cloth is attached, and that moves the main body while rotating in contact with a floor, a drive motor rotating the pair of rotary mops, a nozzle supplying water from the water tank to the cleaning cloth of the rotary mop, and a controller periodically determining an abnormality in water supply to convert to a wet mop mode or to a dry mop mode to proceed with cleaning. Therefore, in the present disclosure, the sensor may be provided in the water tank to detect the water shortage in the water tank for supplying water to the rotary mop, thereby determining whether to change modes by the robot cleaner itself.
IMPROVEMENTS IN OR RELATING TO FIELD DEVICES
The invention provides a method of verifying the health of a liquid level detection device, preferably a vibrating fork level switch, while the device remains in situ. The method includes, independently of the device, verifying if the fork tines are fully wet or fully dry. This step can be carried out by a further, independent, level measuring apparatus.
Liquid level detection device and refrigeration cycle apparatus
A liquid level detection device that is provided in a vessel and configured to detect a liquid level of fluid stored in the vessel includes a first plate formed in a plate shape, and a second plate formed in a plate shape and disposed to face the first plate. The first plate is disposed in such a manner that a surface opposite to a surface facing the second plate is orthogonal to a flow direction of fluid around the first plate in the vessel.
Flooded member detection by means of ultrasound
A sensor system for detecting water or air in a hollow member comprises a first acoustic sensor assembly in a first housing on one side of the hollow member, a second acoustic sensor assembly in a second housing on the opposite side, a controller unit connected to the first and/or second sensor assemblies, and where the first and second sensor assemblies and the controller unit are provided with power supply. Each of the first and second sensor assemblies comprises a set of probes connected to electronics for transmitting and receiving signals, and where the housings comprise fastening means for connecting the housings and the probes to the hollow member. The controller unit comprises a microcontroller, software for controlling and coordinating transmission and reception of signals between said probes, and means for registering and logging data generated by the sensor assemblies. A method detects water or air in a hollow member.
Liquid immersion sensor
A liquid immersion sensor for a mobile device with at least two acoustic transducers is described. The liquid immersion sensor may include a signal generator having a signal generator output configured to generate a signal for transmission via a first acoustic transducer, and a signal receiver having a signal receiver input configured to receive a delayed version of the generated signal via a second acoustic transducer. The signal receiver includes a signal receiver output. The liquid immersion sensor includes a controller having a first controller input for receiving a reference signal and a second controller input coupled to the signal receiver output. The controller determines a time lag value between the reference signal and the delayed signal and generates a control output signal dependent on the phase difference. The control output signal indicates if the mobile device is immersed in liquid.
Ultrasonic Transducer and Method of Operating an Ultrasonic Transducer
In an embodiment an ultrasonic transducer includes an ultrasonic unit with a housing in which a piezoelectric element is located, wherein the ultrasonic unit includes at least one electrical connecting lead leading out of the housing, the connecting lead being configured for connection to control and/or evaluation electronics arranged separately from the ultrasonic unit, and wherein the ultrasonic unit is configured to operate in a thickness oscillation mode.
Liquid level sensor for a chemical source vessel
A chemical vessel used for holding a liquid chemical precursor is disclosed comprising a liquid level sensor tube. The liquid level sensor tube is configured to operate in an environment where the liquid chemical precursor is heated to a point of boiling or vaporization. The liquid level sensor tube comprises housing with a slot built in to prevent any false readings of sensors disposed within the liquid level sensor tube.
Optimizing acoustic efficiency of a sonic filter or separator
Apparatus features a container and a transducer. The container is made of a selected material and has a container wall with a selected thickness, and configured to hold a fluid therein. The transducer is configured on the outside of the container wall, and is also configured to provide a standing wave into the fluid. The selected thickness and material of the container wall is chosen to ensure about a ½ wavelength of a desired frequency exists within the container wall, so as to substantially reduce back reflections toward the transducer due to any mismatch in acoustic impedance at the interface between the container wall and the fluid, and so as to substantially maximize the amount of energy delivered to the fluid, thus improving the operating efficiency of the apparatus.
Sensor Having A Piezoelectric Element
A sensor includes a substrate having a curved surface, a piezoelectric element, and an adhesive disposed between the piezoelectric element and the curved surface along a vertical direction. The adhesive attaches the piezoelectric element to the substrate. The adhesive has an exterior bond surface that has a tapered shape along the vertical direction from the piezoelectric element to the curved surface.
