Tank gauging and inventory management system
The disclosure generally describes computer-implemented methods, software, and systems for gauging tanks. A computer-implemented method includes generating, using an interrogator, a radio frequency signal directed towards a radio frequency identification (RFID) device that is freely floating on the liquid stored within the tank, receiving a return signal from the RFID device, the return signal being associated to a location of the RFID device, processing the return signal to determine a height of the liquid stored within the tank based on a triangulation algorithm, and determining a result data based on the height of the liquid stored within the tank and one or more tank characteristics.
INCUBATION CASSETTE AND MICROPLATE FOR REDUCING FLUID EVAPORATION OUT OF WELLS OF A MICROPLATE
An incubation cassette for reducing liquid evaporation from wells of a microplate with a frame for receiving a microplate with wells, the frame having a central first opening surrounded by an inner wall, the dimensions are designed for inserting a microplate, and the frame having an outer wall that runs essentially parallel to the inner wall and which is attached to the inner wall connects so that a liquid reservoir surrounding the first central opening for receiving a liquid is formed by the two walls and the intermediate base is disclosed. The incubation cassette also includes a float provided in the liquid reservoir that can be brought into fluid contact with the liquid held in the liquid reservoir in such a way that the float is in relation to the liquid level of the liquid in the liquid reservoir absorbed liquid experiences buoyancy.
System and method to measure mud level in a wellbore annulus
Systems include a floating device disposed on a top of a column of drilling fluid in an annulus of a wellbore. The floating device includes a capsule. A transmitter or a reflector may be coupled to the capsule. The floating device may transmit signals to a surface region from the annulus or receive signals from the surface region and reflect at least a portion of the received signals. A receiver in the surface region receives transmitted signals or reflected signals from the floating device and determines a distance between the floating device and a reference point in the surface region. The distance indicates a level of the drilling fluid in the annulus.
LIQUID SUPPLY SYSTEM AND LIQUID PREPARATION METHOD
A liquid supply system is provided. The liquid supply system includes a liquid tank configured to store a liquid. The liquid supply system also includes a liquid measurement module positioned outside the liquid tank and fluidly connected two connecting ports that are located at opposite sides of a surface of the liquid stored in the liquid tank, The liquid tank includes a tube extends parallel to a height direction of the liquid tank. The liquid tank also includes a floating member located in the tube and configured to float on the liquid. The liquid tank further includes a detection member configured to emit a detection signal toward the floating member.
Validation of fluid level sensors
Methods and systems for validating a fluid level sensor having a floating element are provided. First readings are acquired from the fluid level sensor indicative of fluid levels sensed via the floating element during a first period of operation of the fluid level sensor. A validated range of fluid levels for the fluid level sensor is determined based on the first readings. At least one second reading is acquired from the fluid level sensor during a second period of operation, subsequent to the first period of operation. A starting position of the floating element for the second period of operation is determined based on the at least one second reading. When the starting position of the floating element is within the validated range, validating the at least one second reading.
Device for Determining a Filling Level of a Liquid in a Container
The invention relates to a device (1) for determining a filling level of a liquid (F) in a container (B), comprising a submersible unit (2) having a pressure sensor unit (3) and a transmitter unit (14) configured as a radio transmitter unit, an ultrasonic transmitter unit or a light signal transmitter unit, and a float unit (5) having a further pressure sensor unit (6) and a further transmitter unit (15) configured as a radio transmitter unit, wherein the further pressure sensor unit (6) is arranged at or in a floating body (7) of the float unit (5) in such a manner that, if the float unit (5) is arranged in the liquid (F) for which the device (1) is intended to determine the filling level, the further pressure sensor unit (6) is arranged below the surface (O) of the liquid (F).
