Method and system for batching size adjusted food items
A method for processing and batching food items in a food processing system according to a predefined batch target criterion, comprises the steps of conveying a food item to weight determining means, determining the weight of the food item by means of the weight determining means, and processing the determined weight of the food item together with a weight of a plurality of food items. The processing includes dynamically generating a control-cutting signal. The method further comprises determining if the dynamically generated control cutting signal indicates that cutting off a part of the food item will increase a prospect to meet the predefined batch target criterion, and in the confirmative convey the food item to a separation device wherein a part of the food item is cut off.
PERFORMING A FILL-TO-WEIGHT UNLOADING OPERATION
A leading vehicle loads material into a receiving vehicle during an unloading operation and receives a weight value from the receiving vehicle indicative of a weight of material that has been loaded into the receiving vehicle. The leading vehicle controls the unloading operation based on the weight value.

METHOD FOR PROCESSING FOOD PRODUCTS AND FOOD PROCESSING SYSTEM WITH POSITION TRACKING
The present disclosure relates to a method for processing food products, comprising the following steps: multi-track slicing of food products into individual food portions on a plurality of production tracks; detecting at least one feature of a food portion during and/or after slicing; multi-track conveying of the food portions on separate production tracks; moving the food portions 34 from a plurality of production tracks onto a reduced number of output tracks and/or moving them between different tracks and/or grouping them. According to the present disclosure, the position of the individual food portions is tracked by means of a controller, so that, for each food portion 16 which has been moved onto the output track, it will be known on which production track said food portion 16 has been produced. The disclosure further relates to a food processing system.

SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR AUTOMATIC MATERIAL DISPENSING
A refrigerator appliance includes a drip tray cover including two strain gauge sensors that are coupled to a bottom surface thereof; a memory; and a controller. The controller is configured to detect, via the two strain gauge sensors, a weight of a vessel on the drip tray cover based on a strain; receive, via input, one or more selections, the one or more selections indicative of an amount of material to be dispensed into the vessel, the material including liquid, ice, or any combination thereof; dispensing the material in accordance with the one or more selections; continuously measure, via the two strain gauge sensors, the amount of material being dispensed in accordance with the one or more selections; and terminate, after the vessel receives the amount of material that is measured and equivalent to the one or more selections, the dispensing of the material into the vessel.

Weight giveaway reduction system
A food processing system includes a food slicing machine having a control arrangement for regulating a thickness of slices cut by the machine so that they are cut according to a current value of a slice size parameter. An under-weight signal is generated which is responsive to generation of any under-weight groups of slices by the slicing machine, and an end-of-line weighing device monitors the weight of groups of slices outputted by the system and generates an end-of-line weight signal responsive thereto. The system identifies any under-weight groups of slices so that their weight can be increased by addition of a further slice before being outputted by the system. The control arrangement receives the two signals and determines the value of the slice size parameter having regard to them. The slice size parameter may be adjusted to minimize give-away by the system.
