Dynamic Human-Machine Interface and Control Mechanism for Culinary Instrument
A system for controlling a culinary instrument includes a component data structure storing, for at least some culinary components, a culinary attribute. A menu data structure stores, for each of multiple items, a set of constituent components. An order interface module receives an item selection by a user and a set of adjustments to the selected item. Each element of the set describes an amount modification of a corresponding culinary component. An order feedback module uses a first set of rules to assess the set of adjustments based on the corresponding culinary attributes. In response to the assessment, the order feedback module selectively provides feedback to the user regarding limitations on the set of adjustments. A control transformation module uses a second set of rules to transform the adjusted selected item into a set of instrument control instructions for control of the culinary instrument, which autonomously performs the instructions.
Weighing balance
A control system for controlling the quantities of items of a product includes: a) a weighing scale; b) a memory storage device storing data of a target associated to the weight of at least one item; and c) a processor in communication with the weighing scale and the memory storage device. The processor is configured to output a sensory indicator corresponding to the weight of at least one of the items placed on the weighing scale. The sensory indicator provides a different sensory indication when the weight of at least one of item placed on the weighing scale is above, below or between the target.
BIOMETRIC INFORMATION MEASURING DEVICE
A biometric information measuring device comprising a control part that determines a degree of matching with respect to a purpose of use that is set in measured data related to multiple body compositions, based on a purpose-of-use matching degree relationship in which a degree of matching with respect to a purpose of use is associated according to a combination relationship about change directions of data related to the multiple body compositions associated by a display order with respect to the purpose of use.

A Method of Weighing and Batching Articles
The number of articles in a weighing pan of a multihead weigher is to be determined. A set of weight distributions including a first weight distribution and a second weight distribution are defined. The first weight distribution representing a weight distribution of a first integer number of articles, and the second weight distribution representing a weight distribution of a second integer number of articles. The weight of the articles in the weighing pan is compared to the first weight distribution, and the second weight distribution respectively—the number of articles corresponding to the first integer number when the weight being inside said first weight distribution, and to the second integer number when the weight being inside said second weight distribution.
Robot system and control method thereof
According to embodiments, a robot system configured to determine a recipe from an ingredient list obtained by detecting a type and an amount of an ingredient includes: a storage table configured to detect a weight change by a scale installed under each of cells that store ingredients according to types of the ingredients, detect the cell of which a weight is changed according to an ingredient selection of a user to identify the type of the ingredient, and identify the amount of the ingredient based on a degree of the weight change of the cell; and a robot configured to receive the ingredient list obtained from the type and the amount of the ingredient identified by the storage table from the storage table, retrieve menus to be cooked with the ingredient list, and perform cooking by determining the recipe according to a menu selected from the menus.
Electronic weighing scales with user-configurable check weigh function and methods of using the same
Electronic weighing scales with check weigh functionality that include user interfaces and programming capability that are designed for both ease of use and configurability. In some examples, electronic weighing scales include check weigh memory buttons configured for one-touch programming that can be used for quickly and easily storing and recalling a target weight. In some examples, electronic weighing scales include check weigh visual indicators designed and configured to conspicuously display a result of a check weigh function weight comparison.

Digital scale and brewing process therefrom
A digital scale for optimizing coffee brewing, and pour-over brewing in particular, is provided. Specifically, the present disclosure relates to a scale configured to determine the target amount of water to add based on any amount of coffee grounds used, compare an actual pour rate to a target pour rate when adding the target amount of water over a specific target pour time, and clearly communicate the same to the user.
