PRINTER, PROGRAM, AND INFORMATION PROCESSING SYSTEM
An aspect of the present invention is a printer communicable with an external device in accordance with a predetermined communication protocol. The printer includes: a data reception unit configured to receive data containing a character string to be printed, from the external device; an acquisition unit configured to acquire extraction setting information that is information relating to a method of extracting the character string contained in the data that is received by the data reception unit; an extraction unit configured to, upon receiving the data from the external device, extract the character string from the received data, based on the extraction setting information that is acquired by the acquisition unit; and a print unit configured to print the character string that is extracted by the extraction unit, on a print medium.
AUTO-GENERATED FULFILLMENT ATTRIBUTES
Generating a fulfillment attribute(s) associated with an item(s) based on inputs associated with the item(s) is described. One or more inputs (e.g., images) of an item (packaged or unpackaged) can be analyzed, and characteristics associated with the item can be determined based on the analysis of the inputs. Upon receiving a user-specified delivery location, fulfillment attribute(s) can be determined based on the delivery location and the characteristics associated with the item, and the fulfillment attribute(s) can be displayed to a user. For example, a point-of-sale (POS) device can be used during a checkout process at a merchant location to capture an image(s) of an item, and to display a shipping quote for selection by a user based on the captured item imagery.

WEIGHING DEVICE
A weighing device which recognizes generation of fraud which makes the weight of a commodity registered for sales appears to be lighter is provided. When a weighing unit weighs weight of a commodity (article), a weighing fraud recognition unit recognizes that there is generation of weighing fraud that makes the weight of the commodity appear to be lighter than actual weight or a possibility of the generation of the weighing fraud. When the weighing fraud recognition unit recognizes that there is the generation of the weighing fraud or the possibility of the generation of the weighing fraud, the weighing indeterminacy unit does not determine the weighing performed by the weighing unit.
