REFRIGERATOR HAVING DOOR WITH WEIGHT-SENSITIVE STORAGE AREA AND METHOD OF MANAGING ITEMS STORED IN WEIGHT-SENSITIVE STORAGE AREA
Provided is a refrigerator including a door, a door shelf provided on the door and including a weight-sensitive storage area for sensing a weight of an item, a weight transmission device installed on the door shelf and configured to transmit information about the sensed weight, a user interface including a display and an inputter, and a processor configured to manage item information, based on the information about the sensed weight received from the weight transmission device, and control the display to display management information about the item.
Inventory monitoring system and method
The present invention discloses an inventory monitoring system with an intelligent shelf that includes a power and data communications hub having sensory logic of an inventory application, which generates sensory logic data related to inventory items tracked. Further included is a server computing device that includes a working logic of the inventory application, which updates server records using the sensory logic data received from the intelligent shelf. An Internet enabled mobile computing device having an interactive display logic of the inventory application displays updated server records received from the server computing device.
METHODS AND SYSTEMS FOR CONDUCTING WEIGHT-BASED TRANSACTIONS
A method for conducting a retail transaction comprises: monitoring weight measurement data corresponding to a shelf and a plurality of non-homogeneous products arranged thereupon, said weight measurement data measured by the plurality of weighing assemblies and transmitted therefrom as respective streams of weight measurement data-points comprising at least one of weights and voltage inputs thereto; responsively to a change over time in the values of said weight measurement data-points and contingent upon said values reaching respective steady states according to a stability-tracking rule, determining a set of weight-event parameters of a weight event, the determined set of weight-event parameters comprising one or more products and a product-action respective of each one of the one or more products; and performing at least one of: recording information about the results of the determining in a non-transient, computer-readable medium, and displaying information about the results of the determining on a display device.

Automated inventory management for a paint color chip display assembly
A system includes a shelving unit, a sensor and a processor. The shelving unit includes a pocket. The sensor is associated with the pocket and is configured to obtain a parameter indicative of a weight of the pocket. The processor configured to execute instructions stored in a nontransitory computer-readable medium. The instructions include obtaining the parameter indicative of the weight of the pocket from the sensor, determining the weight of the pocket based on the parameter, comparing the weight of the pocket to a predetermined value, generating a paint chip order that includes a request in response to the weight of the pocket being below the predetermined value, and transmitting the paint chip order to a computing system.
PRESCRIPTION MONITORING SYSTEM
A monitoring system includes a weight sensor for receiving a vial containing a controlled substance possessed by a patient. A processor receives a weight measured by the weight sensor. A communication circuit transmits the weight measured by the weight sensor to a remote server. The weight sensor may be mounted in a container having a first compartment and a second compartment. The first compartment has a first lid that is releasable without any lock. A second compartment has a second lid that is secured by a lock. The weight sensor is mounted inside the second compartment.
