A force sensor configured to generate a force sensor signal corresponding to a dynamic ground reaction force when the wheel crosses the force sensor is arranged in the space. An electro-acoustic transducer is arranged in the space and configured to measure sound waves and accordingly generate a transducer signal.

The present disclosure discloses a method for quick weighing of loose and small packages of traditional Chinese medicine (TCM), comprising: 1) establishing an equivalent physical model of a weighing system for loose and small packages, and, through Laplace transformation and Z transformation, obtaining a formula of the mass M of medicine packages to be weighed; 2) calculating a.sub.1, a.sub.2, b.sub.1 and b.sub.2 on the basis of a vector prediction error; 3) according to a.sub.1, a.sub.2, b.sub.1, and b.sub.2 obtained and the formula of the mass of medicine packages to be weighed, obtaining the mass of the loose and small packages of TCM that are weighed. According to the method, the scalar prediction error is expanded into the vector prediction error based on the traditional method so as to construct a new identification model based on the vector prediction error, and as a result the utilization efficiency of prediction error turns higher.

System for detecting noise in weight data

Noise that is present in the output of a weight sensor can lead to erroneous weight data. A moveable device, such as a tote, may be used by a customer while shopping in a facility. This tote can include one or more weight sensors that are used to determine the weight of items added to or removed from the tote. However, noise can affect the output of the weight sensors, where such noise is attributed to movement or vibration of the tote. Data from a vibration sensor or a motion sensor coupled to the tote can be analyzed to determine noise that is common to weight data and vibration data or motion data associated with the tote. This common noise can then be removed or attenuated from the weight signals to determine de-noised and valid weight data for the tote.

With the help of this at least one artificial neural network, an estimated value (SW) for the actual weight is determined, for example in a weighing device of a combination scale. This is performed faster than if waiting for the actual weight signal. The estimated values (SW) are forwarded to the combination scale (KW), which uses them to form combinations.
