OBJECT MEASUREMENT DEVICE
An object measurement device for ascertaining measurements of cuboidal and boxed packages to provide measurement data to a host computer is provided. The device may include a frame, a weight sensor, and one or more dimension sensors. The frame may include a base and a vertical support member that extends vertically from the base. The weight sensor may be positioned on the base and may be configured to emit a weight data signal. The dimension sensors may include an upper sensor and one or more side sensors. The upper sensor may be positioned on the vertical support member, and the side sensors may be positioned adjacent to the base. The dimension sensors may be configured to emit dimensional data signals. The host computer may be in communication with the weight and dimension sensors. The host computer may be configured to receive the weight and the dimensional measurement data.
LENS CLEARING ARRANGEMENT
A heatable optical element for a compound lens, the optical element being adapted to (i) provide a focusing function for the compound lens and (ii) be heated by resistive heating upon application of electricity to the heatable optical element. The compound lens including the heatable optical element may be employed in a camera, with the heatable optical element being the most distal optical element from a light sensor of the camera. A method for operating such a camera comprises detecting a present condition of the distal-most element and controlling application of electricity to control heating of the distal-most element in response to the detected present condition of the distal-most element.
Medical Mattress Failure Detection Device
A system for signaling an overload of a foam mattress, including a foam mattress having a plurality of conductive inserts located near a bottom surface and a contact pad positioned below the bottom surface of the mattress. The system may generate an overload alarm signal as a function of receiving one or more signal outputs from the sensor over a period of time. The system may also generate an overload alarm signal as a function of receiving a plurality of individual signal outputs from a plurality of one or more conductive inserts located within a predetermined area of the sensor.

Pulsed strain gauge topologies
Systems, devices, and methods are provided for pulsed strain gauge topologies. A weight sensor assembly may comprise one or more load cells for receiving excitation pulses during a first state period of a duty cycle, sample and hold (S/H) circuitry connected to the one or more load cells that holds analog measurement signals from the one or more load cells, first filtering circuitry connected to the S/H circuitry for processing the analog measurement signals and producing a DC level signal, an amplification system connected to the filtering circuitry, for amplifying the DC level signal, second filtering circuitry connected to the amplification system for filtering power line noise, and analog-to-digital (ADC) circuitry connected to the second filtering circuitry. Examples of load cells described herein include full-bride load cells (FBLCs) and half-bridge load cells (HBLCs).
