The electronic device can include a display screen, a first color temperature sensor and a second color temperature sensor that are arranged side by side under the display screen, and a filter element that is located between the second color temperature sensor and the display screen to filter ambient light incident on the second color temperature sensor. The device can further include a processing element that is connected with the first color temperature sensor and the second color temperature sensor respectively to determine ambient light color temperature of an environment where the electronic device is located according to a first color temperature signal value detected by the first color temperature sensor and a second color temperature signal value detected by the second color temperature sensor.

Provided is a method and apparatus for detecting a color temperature, and an electronic device, which can accurately detect a color temperature of a light source. The method includes: determining, based on multi-channel data of a to-be-tested light source and multi-channel data of a first standard light source group, proportional coefficients corresponding to the first standard light source group, where the proportional coefficients corresponding to the first standard light source group is used to represent a ratio between multi-channel data of each standard light source in the first standard light source group and the multi-channel data of the to-be-tested light source; determining a tristimulus value of the to-be-tested light source based on the multi-channel data of the first standard light source group and the proportional coefficients corresponding to the first standard light source group; and determining a color temperature of the to-be-tested light source based on the tristimulus value.

The light sensing elements have distinct native channels respectively, each native channel has a peak, and any two of the native channels that are adjacent partially overlap with each other and generate an intersection point, each native channel corresponds to the one intersection point or the two intersection points to define a central area and one or two edge areas. The light sensing elements detect a testing light source and generate initial responses. The processing circuit establishes derived channels based on the peaks and virtual channels based on the intersection points. The processing circuit converts the initial responses into derived responses and virtual responses. The color conversion model generates a color coordinate of the testing light source based on the derived responses and the virtual responses.
