The system includes a PIR sensor (12) positioned in an area comprising a plurality of sub-areas, the motion sensor comprising an optical device (22) having a plurality of sub-lenses (26, 28, 30), each sub-lens of the plurality of sub-lenses having a field of view (FOV) corresponding to a sub-area of the plurality of sub-areas. The system further includes at least one processor (32) coupled to the PIR sensor and configured to: activate the plurality of sub-lenses to generate a total sensor FOV comprising each FOV of the plurality of sub-lenses; and dynamically control the plurality of sub-lenses to subdivide the total sensor FOV, wherein the subdivided sensor FOV is smaller than the total sensor FOV.
RADIATION THERMOMETER, TEMPERATURE MEASUREMENT METHOD, AND TEMPERATURE MEASUREMENT PROGRAM
A radiation thermometer 100 includes two infrared detectors 1 and 1′ and a temperature calculator 2. The infrared detectors 1 and 1′ each have a predetermined measurement visual field and detect the amount of infrared rays incident from the measurement visual field. The temperature calculator 2 calculates the temperature of a measurement target region Xa based on the amounts of infrared rays detected by the respective infrared detectors 1 and 1′. The measurement target region Xa is included in the measurement visual fields of the respective infrared detectors 1 and 1′, and the sizes of the respective measurement visual fields are set to be different frm each other with respect to the measurement target region Xa.
ACTIVE COMPRESSIVE SENSING VIA A THERMAL SENSOR FOR HUMAN SCENARIO RECOGNITION
Disclosed and described herein is a system and a method for thermal detection of static and moving objects.
METHOD FOR OPTICALLY DETERMINING THE TEMPERATURE OF A MOLTEN METAL, AND REELING DEVICE FOR CARRYING OUT SAID METHOD
A method for optically determining the temperature of a molten metal with a measuring device, including calibrating a replacement measuring chain by a measuring chain as a system-internal measuring standard. The measuring device includes an optical waveguide, to guide electromagnetic radiation emitted from the metal or from the tip of the optical waveguide to an optical detector, at least one replacement optical waveguide, an optical detector for determining the temperature of the metal from an analysis of the electromagnetic radiation, a measuring chain, in which the optical waveguide is the measurement recorder, and at least one replacement measuring chain, in which a replacement optical waveguide is the measurement recorder. A reeling device includes a conveying device for successive reeling of the optical waveguide from a stock and of the replacement optical waveguide from a replacement stock, a receiving device for a stock and at least one replacement stock.
MULTI-SENSOR USING A THERMAL CAMERA
An infrared thermal camera can be installed in a vehicle, such as a car, to provide different capabilities including night vision, passenger temperature monitoring, liveness detection, and avoidance of collisions with animals. The camera may be located inside the vehicle facing outwards through the front windshield. The camera may be used in multiple modes. In a first mode, the camera may be used to provide night vision or other thermal imaging of a scene outside the vehicle using a first field of view. In a second mode, the camera may be used to provide thermal imaging of a scene at least partially inside the vehicle using a second field of view, which may be useful, for example, for scanning the skin temperatures of occupants.
NONCONTACT THERMOMETER
A thermometer includes one or more temperature sensors mounted on a housing. The one or more temperature sensors determine a temperature of at least one measurement site without contact. The non-contact thermometer displays an indicator to assist alignment of the one or more temperature sensors with the at least one measurement site, receives at least one measurement reading from the at least one measurement site, determines a temperature based on the at least one measurement reading, and displays the temperature on a display unit.
Photo-detection system comprising photo-detection apparatus including light-shielding film, optically-coupled layer, and photodetector and arithmetic circuit
A photo-detection system includes: a photo-detection apparatus including a light-shielding film, an optically-coupled layer, and a photodetector including first and second photo-detection cells; and an arithmetic circuit that generates, based on first signals and second signals, third signals each representing coherence of light having entered a position of each of the first and second photo-detection cells and generates at least one selected from the group consisting of an average value of the third signals, a standard deviation of the third signals, a ratio between the standard deviation and the average value, and a ratio between an average value of a first portion of the third signals based on light having entered the positions of the first photo-detection cells and an average value of a second portion of the third signals based on light having entered the positions of the second photo-detection cells.
