Dynamic feedback for haptics

A haptic system is described. The haptic system includes a linear resonant actuator (LRA), a receiver, and a transmitter. The LRA has a characteristic frequency and provides a vibration in response to an input signal. The receiver is configured to sense received vibration from the LRA. The transmitter is configured to provide the input signal to the LRA. The receiver is coupled with the transmitter and provides vibrational feedback based on the received vibration. The input signal incorporates the vibrational feedback.

Capsule device for pressure measuring

The present invention discloses a capsule device for pressure measurement. The capsule device comprises a capsule enclosure, a data transmission assembly and a thin film pressure sensor. The capsule enclosure is formed with an accommodating chamber, and the data transmission assembly is arranged in the accommodating chamber. The thin film pressure sensor is attached to the outer surface of the capsule enclosure to measure pressure, and the thin film pressure sensor is connected with the data transmission assembly.

The first resistor is for example a strain gauge that can be secured to a component.

CALIBRATED LOAD CELL

A calibrated load cell includes a monolithic load beam having a first region, a second region on a distal end of the load beam from the first region for receiving a force from a load, and a third region arranged between the first and second regions, wherein the third region comprises a recess on one side of the load beam. A strain gauge is arranged in the recess for detecting a deformation of the third region from the load and for generating a strain gauge output signal proportional to the deformation of the third region. The load cell also includes a microcontroller arranged in the recess for receiving and processing the strain gauge output signal to produce a load cell output signal that represents the load on a load cell output cable. The microcontroller transforms the strain gauge output signal based on calibration parameters to produce the load cell output signal as a calibrated load cell output signal.

System and method for monitoring body movement

A method for determining the flexion or extension of a joint of a human or animal subject, comprising: applying a plurality of strain gauges to the joint in a known configuration; applying a first inertial measurement unit, IMU, to each strain gauge; receiving strain data from each of the strain gauges; receiving motion data from each of the IMUs; and calculating the flexion or extension of the joint in dependence on the received strain data, motion data and the configuration of the strain gauges.

A first subset of the item detection sensors are sensed at a first time, and a second subset of the item detection sensors are sensed at a second time. The item detection sensors of the first and second subsets are chosen such that they span the surface of the sensor mat, and so that the sensors of the chosen subsets include all of the sensors of the mat after multiple sensing steps have been completed.
