Radial seal for disposable force sensor

A pressure reading assembly including a housing defining a conduit configured to transmit bodily fluid therethrough and a receiving tube having a first opening and an inner cylindrical surface. The pressure reading assembly further includes a sensing apparatus which includes a sensor disposed on a substrate and an engagement member including a generally columnar sealing member configured to engage an inner cylindrical surface of a receiving tube within the housing connected to the substrate about the sensor. The sealing member defines an axial bore extending from a proximal end to a distal end and includes an outer sealing surface defining one or more engaging elements configured to non-adhesively engage the inner cylindrical surface of the receiving tube to resist removal of the sensor assembly so that a pre-sterilized sensor assembly can be removed from a clean sealed packaging and joined directly with the housing.

A plurality of pressure ports are arranged at the housing of the pressure sensor, with a pressure measuring cell being associated with every pressure port. The pressure measurement cells are connected to the control and evaluation unit, and the pressure sensor has at least one digital output interface. At least one pressure port is a port for inserting a pressure line, with the pressure line being installable without tools and with the pressure line being surrounded by a seal of the pressure port and being secured against being pulled out.

PRESSURE GAUGE RELIEF VALVE
20230003600 · 2023-01-05 · ·

A pressure gauge and/or relief valve which may be used in a single-use fluid system, such as a sterilizable fluid system. The pressure gauge and/or pressure relief valve may be formed of a disposable and/or sterilizable material, such as a non-metallic (e.g., polymeric) material. The material of the pressure gauge and/or pressure relief valve may be compatible with the material of a fluid-containing structure of the fluid system, such as to be bonded (e.g., welded) therewith. The fluid-containing structure may be retrofitted to integrate the pressure gauge and/or pressure relief valve therewith. The pressure gauge and/or pressure relief valve may have a simple configuration, such as a housing with a movable element therein. The movable element moves with respect to the housing to indicate pressure and/or to relieve pressure from within the housing and/or fluid-containing structure.

Device for performing ultrasonic examinations and pressure measurements

A device (1) for performing ultrasonic examinations and pressure measurements comprises an ultrasonic transducer (60), a pressure sensor (50), a housing (10) to accommodate the ultrasonic transducer (60) and the pressure sensor (50), a support plate (40) arranged in the housing (10) and a flexible membrane (21) arranged on the end face of the housing. A sealed chamber (47) for receiving a liquid medium is formed between the membrane (21) and the support plate (40), and the ultrasonic transducer (60) and the pressure sensor (50) are arranged on the support plate (40) in such a way that a first transmission surface of the ultrasonic transducer (60) and a second transmission surface of the pressure sensor (50) are directed towards the chamber (47).

Pressure measurement devices, methods, and systems

A pressure measurement pod for use in blood circuits includes a pressure sensing pod defining a chamber and having a rigid wall portion and an integral flexible wall portion forming a flexible, moveable, fluid-impermeable diaphragm with a first major side thereof facing an interior of the chamber and a second major side opposite the first major side. The second major side faces outwardly away from the chamber, and the pod has ports on sides of the chamber. The internal surfaces of the chamber and ports are shaped such that any contour following the internal surfaces to the outside of one of the ports traces only surfaces characterized by positive or neutral draft angles such that invasive mold portions may be withdrawn through the ports thereby permitting the pressure measurement pod to be molded in a single shot molding process.

A measuring arrangement includes a sensor fastened to a measuring volume by a mounting adapter and a coupling ring. The sensor penetrates a wall of the measuring volume. The mounting adapter is fixedly arranged in the wall. The sensor is movably arranged in the mounting adapter. The coupling ring is connected to the sensor. The sensor is held in the mounting adapter by the connection of the coupling ring to the mounting adapter. A recess is provided for guiding a peg element. The position of the peg element in the recess is adjustable in, or counter to, the insertion direction of the sensor by a rotary and/or insertion movement of the coupling ring. The sensor and coupling ring can be moved together by pressurization so that the peg element is arranged in a first locking position when pressurization by the medium is present in the measuring volume.

Process for reversibly connecting a sensor to an inlet

The present disclosure relates to a process connection for connecting a sensor to a process inlet via a process seal and a fixing element. The process connection includes a sensor housing and a clamping element. The sensor housing has a housing body configured to receive the sensor and a housing collar that extends around the housing body and has a first sealing section, which encircles the housing body, and a contact area.
