GAS LEAK EMISSION QUANTIFICATION WITH A GAS CLOUD IMAGER
An instrument and method for analyzing a gas leak. The instrument can obtain a time series of spectra from a scene. The instrument can compare spectra from different times to determine a property of a gas cloud within the scene. The instrument can estimate the column density of the gas cloud at one or more locations within the scene. The instrument can estimate the total quantity of gas in the cloud. The instrument can estimate the amount of gas which has left the field of view of the instrument. The instrument can also estimate the amount of gas in the cloud which has dropped below the sensitivity limit of the instrument.

State determination of a fluidic system
A method for determining a state of a fluidic system can include measuring back pressures in the fluidic system at different times and determining a state of the fluidic system. The determination is based on at least the measured back pressures and on additional status information indicative of at least one status of the fluidic system at at least one of the different times.

SYSTEM AND COMPUTER-IMPLEMENTED METHOD FOR MONITORING OPERATING PRESSURE IN A MILKING INSTALLATION, COMPUTER PROGRAM AND NON-VOLATILE DATA CARRIER
A system and method for monitoring at least one operating pressure in a milking installation by a pressure sensor measuring values of a pressure level in a component of a milking point of the milking installation, the pressure level being indicative of the at least one operating pressure to be monitored. A processing node generates monitoring data representing a series of measured values of the pressure level, and the monitoring data contains temporal indicators designating a respective timestamp indicative of a point in time when a value of the pressure level was measured. The temporal indicators serve as a basis for triggering at least one alarm, such as when a timestamp indicates that the pressure level was measured to a value outside of an acceptable range of values at the point in time indicated by the timestamp.

Fluid discharge event detector
A fluid discharge event detection apparatus measures a change in capacitance to detect the presence of a fluid in a sensing conduit where the presence of fluid indicates a discharge event. The apparatus includes a first conduit, the sensing conduit and a control valve, coupled between the first conduit and the sensing conduit. The control valve is configured to activate and fluidly couple the first conduit and the sensing conduit to one another when the control valve detects at least one predetermined condition of a fluid within the first conduit. A sensor, configured to measure a capacitance value, is disposed about the sensing conduit. A controller, coupled to the sensor, is configured to detect a change in the sensing conduit capacitance value and assert an alarm condition upon detection of the change in the sensing conduit capacitance value.
