SOIL WATER COLLECTION AND ANALYSIS SYSTEMS AND RELATED METHODS
A system for collecting and chemically analyzing water samples extracted from the soil to measure one or more analytes of interest such as soil nutrient levels of agricultural interest for increasing crop yield and quality in one use of the system. The system includes a sample collection probe (20) comprising a filter media (26) arranged to contact the soil when embedded therein and capture a water sample from the soil, and operably coupled to a sample processing sub-system (180) thereby collectively forming a sampling station (190). The sub-system (180) is configured to receive and analyze the water sample. A programmable probe controller (60) directs operation of the sample collection, processing, and chemical analysis in situ. A networked array (110) of sampling probes dispersed throughout the field may communicate wirelessly with at least one remote electronic device such as via the cloud computing (102). A modular version of a sampling probe (200) permits customized sampling at various soil depths.
ALL-TERRAIN VEHICLE
An all-terrain rover has a ladder frame having one or more crosspieces, two drive units connected on opposite sides of the frame, first and second auger cylinders engaged with the drive units so as to be urged into rotation by the drive units, each cylinder comprising a sealed hollow cylinder; and a spiral auger flange affixed to the exterior of the cylinder, wherein the drive units are in contact with the axes of the auger cylinders are parallel and the flange of the first cylinder is wound in an opposite direction to the flange of the second cylinder, and wherein the cylinders are each counter-rotated to urge the rover forward. In one embodiment sampling equipment is mounted on the frame. In another, each cylinder further comprises a conical end cap at each end. Each cylinder may have a frustaconical end cap at each end, and each cylinder may be buoyant.
REGENERATION VESSEL ADSORPTION ZONE AND PROCESS FOR ADSORBING HALOGEN-CONTAINING MATERIAL AND SAMPLING CATALYST
A regenerator vessel for adsorbing halogen-containing material from a regenerator vent gas stream has a plurality of catalyst nozzles disposed at a top portion of the regenerator vessel. A first gas outlet is associated with a chlorination zone, and a second gas outlet associated with a combustion zone. A drying zone is in fluid communication with an air heater and the drying zone located in a bottom portion of the regenerator vessel. The first gas outlet is configured to withdraw a first gas stream from the chlorination zone and the second gas outlet is configured to withdraw a second gas stream from the combustion zone. The top portion of the regenerator vessel has an adsorption zone having a vent gas inlet port, a vent gas outlet port, and a portion of an annular catalyst bed.

Reagent cartridge
In one embodiment, a cartridge includes at least one compartment and a reagent in the at least one compartment. The reagent is a chemical composition for testing at least one of soil and vegetation for a chemical contained in the soil or vegetation. The reagent can be used in a soil and/or vegetation analysis test. The cartridge can contain an authentication chip to ensure that the reagent is the correct reagent for the analysis test.
APPARATUS FOR EXTRACTING WATER FROM PLANT CONDENSER TO THE OUTSIDE FOR WATER QUALITY ANALYSIS
Provided is an apparatus for extracting water from a condenser to the outside for water quality analysis. The apparatus includes an insertion pipe inserted into a condenser, a screw thrust portion including a rotating shaft inserted into the insertion pipe, a screw coupled to one end of the rotating shaft, and a screw thrust portion comprising a power providing portion configured to transmit power to the rotating shaft, and an exhaust pipe provided in the insertion pipe to introduce the water to flow to the outside of the condenser when the water contained in the condenser flows toward a rear side of the screw according to a rotation of the screw.
Drive screw device, liquid delivery mechanism, and liquid delivery method
This drive screw device is provided with: a drive screw; a drive unit which causes the drive screw to rotate; a slider which moves along the drive screw by means of the rotation of the drive screw; and an external load which is provided on the drive screw and applies a rotational load to the drive screw. By this means it is possible to provide a drive screw device with which there is little pressure variation even if a frictional force varies.
