CONTACT ANGLE MEASURING DEVICE
The present disclosure discloses a contact angle measuring device, including a light source, a container, a photodetector, a bubble generating unit, and a processing unit. The container includes a first and a second side walls that are opposite. The first side wall is made of a light-transmitting material, the container is filled with a liquid with light transmission inside. The monochromatic light emitted by the light source passes through the first side wall and enters an interface between the first side wall and the liquid. The bubble generating unit is configured for generating a bubble that is in contact with an inner surface of the first side wall. The photodetector is configured for detecting light intensity distribution of the monochromatic light through the liquid.
METHOD AND DEVICE FOR DETERMINING THE DISINTEGRATION TIME OF FILM-SHAPED PHARMACEUTICAL DOSAGE FORMS
The present invention relates to a method for determining the disintegration time of a film-shaped pharmaceutical dosage form and a disintegration testing device for use in such a method.
Triple bubbler system, fast-bubbling approach, and related methods
A triple bubbler system includes a first fluid probe, a second fluid probe, a third fluid probe, a gas source operably coupled to the first fluid probe, the second fluid probe, and the third fluid probe and configured to meter gas through the first fluid probe, the second fluid probe, and the third fluid probe to form bubbles at tips of each of the first fluid probe, the second fluid probe, and the third fluid probe, and a cover member disposed over the tips of the first, second, and third fluid probes and configured to at least partially prevent bubbles formed and escaping the tips of the first, second, and third fluid probes from interfering with other bubbles formed at each other tips. The bubbler system includes a thermocouple having a plurality of junctions disposed along an axis parallel to longitudinal axes of the first, second, and third fluid probes.
Method for demonstrating cleansing efficacy
A method is disclosed for demonstrating the cleansing efficacy of a personal care product or a component thereof, the method comprising: (i) selecting a first portion of a porous article capable of allowing a gas to pass through its pores, wherein the porous article is connected to a source of said gas and immersed in a liquid while the source releases said gas which flows out of said pores to generate gas bubbles; (ii) treating the first portion of the porous article with contaminants; (iii) treating the first portion of the porous article with the personal care product or the component thereof, wherein a second portion of the porous article is selected in step (i); the second portion is also treated with contaminants in step (ii); and the second portion is treated with a comparative or placebo product in step (iii); and wherein following step (iii) the method comprises a step (iv) of assessing a change of the treated first portion relative to untreated article and/or relative to the treated second portion, the change is the amount of gas bubbles released from the porous article.

Determination of interfacial or surface tension
A method and apparatus for measuring interfacial or surface tension of a first fluid dispersed in a second fluid, the method involving providing at least one substantially spherical droplet or bubble of the first fluid in a flowing stream of the second fluid in a flow channel, followed by passing the flowing stream comprising the droplet or bubble through a constriction in the flow channel, the constriction being sufficiently constricting so as to cause the droplet or bubble to deform away from its substantially spherical shape and measuring and comparing a physical property of the flowing stream both before and after the constriction, wherein the physical property changes as a result of the deformation of the droplet or bubble, and thereby inferring the interfacial or surface tension from the measured physical property.
