System And Method For Characterizing Particulates In A Fluid Sample
A system for characterizing at least one particle from a fluid sample is disclosed. The system includes a filter disposed upstream of an outlet, and a luminaire configured to illuminate the at least one particle at an oblique angle. An imaging device is configured to capture and process images of the illuminated at least one particle as it rests on the filter for characterizing the at least one particle. A system for characterizing at least one particle using bright field illumination is also disclosed. A method for characterizing particulates in a fluid sample using at least one of oblique angle and bright field illumination is also disclosed.
Apparatuses, systems and methods for imaging flow cytometry
The present disclosure provides apparatuses, systems, and methods for performing particle analysis through flow cytometry at comparatively high event rates and for gathering high resolution images of particles.
Machine learning-based particle-laden flow field characterization
A particle measurement system and method of operation thereof are described. The system and method render a characteristic for a set of particles measured while passing through a measurement volume. The system includes a source that generates a particle-laden field containing the set of particles. The system further includes a sensor that generates a raw particle data corresponding to the set particles passing through the measurement volume of the particle measurement system, where the raw particle data comprises a set of raw particle records and each of one of the raw particle records includes a particle data content. A preconditioning stage carries out a preconditioning operation on the particle data content of the set of raw particle records to render a conditioned input data. A machine learning stage processes the conditioned input data to render an output characteristic parameter value for the set of particles.
BUBBLE MEASUREMENT DEVICE AND BUBBLE MEASUREMENT METHOD
A bubble measurement device for measurement of bubbles moving in a liquid includes a measurement chamber having an image capturing surface; an image capturing device that captures an image of the bubbles passing along the image capturing surface; an introduction pipe that introduces the bubbles into the measurement chamber; a retaining tank that stores the liquid; a supply pump that draws up the liquid; a drain pipe that returns the liquid into the retaining tank; and a flow velocity adjusting mechanism that adjusts a flow velocity of the liquid passing along the image capturing surface. The flow velocity adjusting mechanism adjusts the flow velocity of the liquid passing along the image capturing surface to be within a range in which the bubbles are measurable. The range is obtained in advance in accordance with an image resolution and a shutter speed of the image capturing device.

BUBBLE MEASUREMENT DEVICE
In a bubble measurement device for measuring bubbles moving in a liquid, the bubble measurement device includes a measurement chamber in which the bubbles in the liquid containing solid materials are introduced into the measurement chamber from below the measurement chamber, and providing a transparent slope facing diagonally downward at a position where the introduced bubbles rise, an image capturing device to capture an image of the bubbles passing the transparent slope, an introduction pipe provided below the measurement chamber to introduce the bubbles into the measurement chamber, and a bubble introduction valve that is immersed in the liquid to be measured and performs the introduction and blocking of the bubbles into the introduction pipe.

Connector
The present invention provides a connector (18) for use in a beverage dispense system (1), the connector (18) defining a conduit for connecting a beverage line (2) to a beverage supply (4). The connector (18) comprises an electrical sensor (21) (e.g. a capacitive sensor) for measuring an electrical parameter of a beverage within the connector conduit. The electrical parameter and/or changes in the electrical parameter can be used to detect bubbles in the beverage and/or identify the type/brand of beverage.
In vitro dissolution test method for fluticasone propionate and other inhaled drugs
An apparatus and method for testing dissolution properties of a drug, especially anti-inflammatory drugs administered by aerosol into the respiratory system. The apparatus shortens the time it takes for a drug to dissolve and thus provides for rapid testing of new drugs for quality control as well as for regulatory purposes. It is suitable for evaluating bioequivalence or to study the pharmacokinetics of drugs administered into the respiratory system. This method shortens dissolution times for testing a drug to about 10 and 20 minutes and thus provides for rapid testing.
CONNECTOR
The present invention provides a connector for use in a beverage dispense system, the connector defining a conduit for connecting a beverage line to a beverage supply. The connector comprises an electrical sensor (e.g. a capacitive sensor) for measuring an electrical parameter of a beverage within the connector conduit. The electrical parameter and/or changes in the electrical parameter can be used to detect bubbles in the beverage and/or identify the type/brand of beverage.
