MICROSCOPE
20230024600 · 2023-01-26 ·

A microscope for examining a sample received in a sample carrier having a lid includes: a sample chamber for receiving the sample carrier; a microscope stage arranged below the sample chamber, the microscope stage being arranged to have the sample carrier arranged thereon; and a sample carrier handling device that is at least partially arranged within the sample chamber and that removes the lid from the sample carrier to provide access to the sample.

Assessment of micro-organism presence

The present disclosure relates to a consumable sample partition device and it assembly and use. The sample partition device can be used to test a sample for absence of microorganisms (sterility) and/or for concentration of said organisms (bio-burden). The sample partition device partitions the sample input volume into multiple discrete measurement zones with little or no loss of sample (e.g., zero-loss) and with little operator involvement, thereby reducing operator- and environment-based false positives.

Bacterial test plate having antibacterial agent introduced thereinto, and transparent plate

Provided is an antibacterial agent-containing dried plate having no cracks on an observation surface (a part of the plate corresponding to an observation visual field of a microscope). According to the present embodiment, an antibacterial agent-introduced plate obtained by introducing an antibacterial agent and performing vacuum drying has a recess at an edge of a well, and a microscopic observation portion, which has a surface substantially parallel to a well bottom surface, near the center of the well. The recess is provided between the microscopic observation portion and a side wall of the well, and is lower in height than the microscopic observation portion. Further, at least the bottom surface of the well and the microscopic observation portion are made of a material having a light-transmitting property in order for optical measurement (FIG. 1).

BIOLOGICAL ANALYSIS SYSTEM AND METHODS

A system for biological analysis includes a housing, a block assembly within the housing having a sample block and a baseplate, a heated cover and a cover carrier. The sample block receives a sample holder comprising an RFID tag. A first drive mechanism generates relative movement between the sample block and the baseplate along a first axis. A second drive mechanism generates relative movement between the heated cover and the cover carrier along a second axis that is different from the first axis. Based on a first command the first drive mechanism releasably engages the sample block and operates the second drive mechanism to releasably engage the heated cover with the cover carrier. The system also includes first and second RFID antennas that receive RFID data from the sample holder RFID tag that is read by at least one RFID reader.

Dispenser platforms

In one example, a dispenser platform can include an enclosure that includes a first actuator to move a support in a first plane, wherein a portion of the support extends outside the enclosure, and a second actuator coupled to the portion of the support that extends outside the enclosure to move a stage coupled to the support in a second plane.

System and processes for isolation and enrichment by magnetic separation

Systems and methods for handling a variety of sample and preparatory fluids in a rack specifically configured for compatibility with predetermined liquid handlers such as automated pipettors or multi-channel manual pipettors and set up for magnetic based sample preparation. The rack can hold all of the necessary sample and reagent vials, and present them to the pipettor in some embodiments in a way that allows for parallel operation. The rack includes slidable magnets that in some embodiments are actuatable directly by the pipettor, eliminating a layer of complexity. Combined with a suitable pipettor the magnet enabled rack supports a multistep magnetic based sample preparation capability in a high throughput manner at one station that enhances sample purity throughout magnetic separation processes.

Methods and Systems for Improved Quality Assurance for High-Throughput Analysis
20220326266 · 2022-10-13 ·

Disclosed are methods and systems for confirming the identification of samples processed by a high-throughput analytical technique. The method may include the steps of distributing a plurality of individual samples to individual predetermined positions of a multi-sample test unit and distributing an identifier material to at least one predetermined position of the multi-sample test unit. The method may also include determining the absence or presence of an analyte in the plurality of individual samples, and determining the absence or presence of the identifier material, wherein the presence of the identifier material at the predetermined position of the multi-sample test unit is used to confirm the identity of the plurality of individual samples positioned in the multi-sample test unit. Also disclosed are systems for performing the disclosed methods or any of the steps of the disclosed methods. The methods and systems may be applied to high-throughput LC-MS/MS or other analytical methods.
