A method for detecting the angular position of a cap with respect to a bottle is provided. A first image of a cap provided with a first marker and of at least a portion of the bottle with which the cap is associated and which is provided with a second marker is captured. Liquid drops and other possible impurities existing thereon are removed from and/or displaced relative to the cap and bottle portion. A second image of the cap and bottle portion is then captured. The first image and second image are compared to obtain at least one processing which is free from “noise” and interferences due to the liquid drops and on which the positions of the first and second markers can be determined without errors. The relative angular position of the first and second markers are determined. An apparatus suitable to implement the aforesaid method is also provided.

A non-transitory computer readable recording medium has an estimation model according to one aspect of the present invention recorded thereon, and the estimation model is included in a program to be executed by a computer and outputs output data estimated based on input data received. In response to receiving, as the input data, a change over time in an intensity of energy emitted from a sealing part of an object subjected to a sealing process through bonding, the estimation model estimates at least one of whether sealing of the object is good or whether the sealing of the object is defective and outputs an estimation result as the output data, the change over time being calculated based on an intensity of energy emitted at each of a first time point and a second time point that is later than the first time point.

Manufacturing device of package and manufacturing method of package

A manufacturing device is used for manufacturing a package including a resin sheet and a predetermined work wrapped with the resin sheet. The manufacturing device includes: a sealing unit that thermally welds overlapping parts of the sheet; and an inspection device that inspects a sealing quality of the sealed portion thermally welded by the sealing unit. The sealing unit makes, by the thermal welding, a thickness of the sealed portion after the thermal welding smaller than a total thickness of the overlapping parts prior to the thermal welding. The inspection device obtains thickness information on the thickness of the sealed portion and determines the sealing quality of the sealed portion based on the thickness information.

The invention relates to a method of visualizing the planeness of a ring surface (16) of a container (14), the method consisting in: lighting the ring surface from above using a peripheral incident light beam having radial rays with specular reflection on the ring surface; and using an optical system (24, 124) to form a plane image of the ring surface on a sensor (18), with an optical geometrical transformation that converts a real height difference (dZ) into an image radial offset (dR) on the image, and the image radial offset (dR) corresponding to a unit real height difference (dZ) is greater than the image radial offset corresponding to a real radial offset of the same dimension.

The invention also provides a device and an installation implementing such a method.

SYSTEM AND METHOD TO DETERMINE A SCORE INDICATING SEAL INTEGRITY IN A PACKAGE
20230251206 · 2023-08-10 ·

The present disclosure relates to a system and method to measure the quality of the inspection process by assigning a score to indicate the level of integrity of a seal of a package in a packaged product. The packaged product is run through an inspection machine, e.g., an X-ray machine, to capture an image. Image processing techniques are used to identify the seal region from the image, which is then divided into a number of sub-regions. Seal scores for each sub-region is calculated using a mathematical framework that takes into account existence (or non-existence) of certain types of defects in the sub-regions. A report is generated to display the results of the seal score determination algorithm to the entity that requested the seal score.
