A high-speed tensile testing machine conducts a tensile test on a test piece by applying a test force to the test piece. The high-speed tensile testing machine includes a detection unit configured to detect a test period indicating a time from when the test piece starts to deform under action of the test force to when the test piece breaks, and a determination unit configured to determine validity of a test result of the tensile test, on the basis of the test period and natural vibration of the high-speed tensile testing machine. Specifically, in the case where the test period is a predetermined multiple or more of a specific cycle indicating a cycle of the natural vibration of the high-speed tensile testing machine, the determination unit determines that the test result of the tensile test is valid.

In a case where control input is performed via a low-pass filter, a control gain more appropriate for both stability and responsiveness is set according to setting of the low-pass filter. A control unit (21) performs control input for a load mechanism (40) via a low-pass filter, discriminates a stability of a control system including the load mechanism (40) and the low-pass filter when setting of the low-pass filter is changed, sets an appropriate control gain based on a maximum control gain at which an excess amount of a measured value with respect to a target value is equal to or less than a predetermined value within a range where that the control system is stable, and controls an operation of the load mechanism (40) by using the appropriate control gain.

Machine for testing thermal resistance of plastic materials, comprising a tank configured, in use, to be filled for example with a heat-transfer fluid; a heating coil for heating the heat-transfer fluid; a temperature sensor generating a temperature signal of the heat-transfer fluid; and a control unit calculating a degradation index of the heat-transfer fluid on the basis of the temperature signal. In particular, the degradation index is calculated by determining the temperature range associated with the temperature signal, updating the corresponding partial heating time, and calculating the weighted sum of the partial heating times previously saved in memory and pertaining to different temperature ranges. Upon reaching one or more thresholds, signals are generated which indicate the need to replace the heat-transfer fluid.
