METHODS AND COMPOSITIONS FOR DIAGNOSIS AND PROGNOSIS OF RENAL INJURY AND RENAL FAILURE
The present invention relates to methods and compositions for monitoring, diagnosis, prognosis, and determination of treatment regimens in subjects suffering from or suspected of having a renal injury. In particular, the invention relates to using a measured urine concentration of one or more of TIMP2 and IGFBP7 in combination with one or more of a measured serum creatinine and a measured urine output, which results are correlated to the renal status of the subject, and can be used for diagnosis, prognosis, risk stratification, staging, monitoring, categorizing and determination of further diagnosis and treatment regimens in subjects suffering or at risk of suffering from an injury to renal function, reduced renal function, and/or acute renal failure.
CHARACTERIZING MODULATORS OF ADAMTS-7 AND ADAMTS-12
Provided herein are assays for the detection and characterization of modulators of ADAMTS-7 and/or ADAMTS-12. Also provided herein are recombinant nucleic acids for the improved expression of functional metalloproteinases ADAMTS-7 and nucleic acids for the improved expression of functional metalloproteinases ADAMTS-12. In addition, provided herein are peptide substrates (e.g. FRET substrates) for use in assays for the detection and characterization of modulators of ADAMTS-7 and/or ADAMTS-12.
Methods and Devices for Detecting Diabetic Nephropathy and Associated Disorders
Methods and devices for diagnosing, monitoring, or determining diabetic nephropathy or an associated disorder in a mammal are described. In particular, methods and devices for diagnosing, monitoring, or determining diabetic nephropathy or an associated disorder using measured concentrations of a combination of three or more analytes in a test sample taken from the mammal are described.
Biomarker for predicting risk of recurrence in patients with paroxysmal atrial fibrillation
A method of providing information for predicting a risk of a recurrence after treatment of a patient with paroxysmal atrial fibrillation (AF) is provided. The method includes measuring a concentration of tissue inhibitor of metalloproteinase (TIMP)-1 from a sample isolated from a patient, and detecting a presence of a genetic variant at rs10033464 GG on chromosome 4q25 from nucleic acid separated from the sample.
METHODS FOR DIAGNOSING AND TREATING INFLAMMATORY BOWEL DISEASE
Methods and materials are disclosed for testing biomarkers in a subject suffering from inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) are described herein. Such detection can be useful for diagnosing and treating ulcerative colitis (UC) and Crohn's disease (CD), two forms of IBD that are otherwise difficult to distinguish. The method includes measuring the level of one or more of several biomarkers, including HD5 or MMP-7, which are expressed differentially in patents with UC and CD. A treatment may be based on the determination of whether the subject has ulcerative colitis or Crohn's disease.
Methods and compositions for diagnosis and prognosis of renal injury and renal failure
It is an object of the present invention to provide methods for assessing the efficacy of a remote ischemic preconditioning procedure though the measurement of urinary TIMP-2 and IGFBP7 concentrations.
QUANTITATIVE LATERAL FLOW ASSAY
The present invention relates to devices, kits, instruments and methods for quantitatively detecting multiple analytes in a sample. More specifically, the present invention relates to devices, kits, instruments and methods for quantitatively detecting multiple analytes with desired or targeted precision, and the uses thereof.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS OF DETECTING SOLID TUMOR CANCER
Provided herein are methods and kits for the detection of solid tumor cancers by measuring expression levels of at least one biomarker of solid tumor microenvironment potential or solid state tumor mass potential.
Methods for diagnosing and treating inflammatory bowel disease

Such detection can be useful for diagnosing and treating ulcerative colitis (UC) and Crohn's disease (CD), two forms of IBD that are otherwise difficult to distinguish. The method includes measuring the level of one or more of several biomarkers, including HD5 or MMP-7, which are expressed differentially in patents with UC and CD. A treatment may be based on the determination of whether the subject has ulcerative colitis or Crohn's disease.
Gene expression markers and treatment of multiple sclerosis
The present invention concerns markers of multiple sclerosis, their use, and treatment with IL-17 antagonists, including IL-17 antibodies, of subjects with increased levels of such markers.
