ANTI-IDE ANTIBODIES AND USES OF SAME
Isolated anti-IDE antibodies are provided. Each of the antibodies comprise an antigen recognition domain comprising the indicated CDR amino acid sequences. Methods of producing same, methods of using same, pharmaceutical compositions comprising same and articles of manufacture are also provided.
METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR ESTIMATING RENAL FUNCTION
The present invention provides a method comprising a step of estimating the kidney function of an arbitrary subject by a regression analysis which employs the amount of a D, L-amino acid in a biological sample from the arbitrary subject as an explanatory variable and employs the amount of filtrated glomeruli in the arbitrary subject as an object variable, by employing a previously determined formula (I): Y=a.sub.1.Math.X.sub.1+a.sub.2.Math.X.sub.2+ . . . +a.sub.n.Math.X.sub.n+b (I) [wherein a.sub.1 to a.sub.n independently represent a constant obtained by the regression analysis; X.sub.1 to X.sub.n independently represent a variable of the amount of the D,L-amino acid which is selected by the regression analysis; and b represents a constant obtained by the regression analysis] on the basis of the Y value calculated from the amount of the D, L-amino acid in the biological sample from the object to be evaluated. Also provided is a system for carrying out the method.
EARLY MARKER OF PROTEINURIA IN PATIENTS TREATED WITH AN ANTI-VEGF TREATMENT
This document provides methods and materials related to determining whether or not a human receiving a therapy (e.g., an anti-VEGF therapy such as a bevacizumab therapy) has developed or is at risk for developing proteinuria. For example, methods and materials for detecting urinary podocytes to determine whether or not a human receiving anti-VEGF therapy has or is at risk for developing proteinuria or kidney injury are provided.
Metabolite Biomarkers Predictive Of Renal Disease In Diabetic Patients
The present invention relates to biomarkers that are predictive of renal disease in patients who have diabetes. The present invention also provides methods of using such biomarkers to predict the risk that a diabetic patient will develop renal disease, and/or to identify a patient who has diabetes as being in need of a therapy to prevent or delay the onset of a renal disease.
METHODS OF DIAGNOSING AND PREDICTING RENAL DISEASE
This disclosure relates to methods of diagnosing and predicting renal disease, using one, two, or more biomarkers, including sTN-FR1, sTNFR2, sFAS, TNF, and IL-6.
METHOD FOR CREATING A RENAL INJURY MODEL TO SCREEN MOLECULES FOR THE TREATMENT OF RENAL INJURY
The present invention is related to short-term renal injury models and methods for creating these models. The models and methods can be used for identifying, testing or characterizing candidate molecules with respect to their suitability to treat renal injury. The methods comprise a step of inducing, in a test subject, renal injury by administering subcutaneously a bolus of a renal injury inducer, in a dosage sufficiently high to induce renal injury. Different types of readout for renal injury are provided such as albumin creatinine ratio (ACR) determined in a urine sample taken from the subject, or the development of transcutaneous fluorescence after injection of a fluorescent molecule. Based on the readout the degree of renal injury and/or alteration of GFR can be determined.
Isolated monoclonal antibodies and/or antigen-binding fragments thereof against indoxyl sulfate and uses thereof
The present invention relates to isolated monoclonal antibodies (mAbs) and/or antigen-binding fragments thereof that specifically recognize indoxyl sulfate, a protein-bound uremic toxin, and uses of such isolated anti-IS mAbs and/or antigen-binding fragments thereof to create immunoassay methods applied in theragnosis of IS-related diseases.
METHODS AND COMPOSITIONS FOR DIAGNOSIS AND PROGNOSIS OF RENAL INJURY AND RENAL FAILURE
The present invention relates to methods and compositions for monitoring, diagnosis, prognosis, and determination of treatment regimens in subjects suffering from or suspected of having a renal injury. In particular, the invention relates to using assays that detect one or more markers selected from the group consisting of soluble p-selectin, protein NOV homolog, soluble epidermal growth factor receptor, netrin-4, haptoglobin, heat shock protein beta-1, alpha- 1 -antitrypsin, leukocyte elastase, soluble tumor necrosis factor receptor superfamily member 6, soluble tumor necrosis factor ligand superfamily member 6, soluble intercellular adhesion molecule 2, active caspase-3, and soluble platelet endothelial cell adhesion molecule as diagnostic and prognostic biomarkers in renal injuries.
COMPOUNDS AND METHODS TARGETING INTERLEUKIN-19
The present invention provides compounds and methods targeting human interleukin-19, including therapeutic antibodies, pharmaceutical compositions and diagnostic applications useful in the field of immune-mediated diseases including psoriasis, atopic dermatitis, psoriatic arthritis, bronchial asthma and diabetic nephropathy.
In particular, the invention relates to using a measured urine concentration of one or more of TIMP2 and IGFBP7 in combination with one or more of a measured serum creatinine and a measured urine output, which results are correlated to the renal status of the subject, and can be used for diagnosis, prognosis, risk stratification, staging, monitoring, categorizing and determination of further diagnosis and treatment regimens in subjects suffering or at risk of suffering from an injury to renal function, reduced renal function, and/or acute renal failure.
