Use of vapor deposition coated flow paths for improved chromatography of metal interacting analytes
A device for separating analytes is disclosed. The device has a sample injector, sample injection needle, sample reservoir container in communication with the sample injector, chromatography column downstream of the sample injector, and fluid conduits connecting the sample injector and the column. The interior surfaces of the fluid conduits, sample injector, sample reservoir container, and column form a flow path having wetted surfaces. A portion of the wetted surfaces of the flow path are coated with an alkylsilyl coating that is inert to at least one of the analytes. The alkylsilyl coating has the Formula I: ##STR00001##

MODIFIED COLUMN FOR EXPANDED BED ADSORPTION AND METHODS OF USE THEREOF
The present disclosure provides chromatography columns and methods of chromatographic separation using the same. In particular, the disclosure provides modified columns where the cross-sectional area of the column increases in an area near the end of the column in a flared manner. The modified columns can be used in Expanded Bed Absorption (EBA) systems.
Data-processing device for chromatograph
The present invention is a data-processing device used for a chromatograph which continuously performs a series of analyses for components in each sample while sequentially introducing a plurality of samples into a column. The device includes: an input section configured to allow for input of information into a schedule table for a plurality of analyses, the schedule table describing an analysis condition including a combination of the values of a plurality of control parameters, the order of execution of the plurality of analyses, and information for identifying a sample to be subjected to each analysis; a chromatogram creating means configured to receive data sequentially collected during two or more analyses and create a joint chromatogram from the data if the two or more analyses have been continuously performed for the same sample according to the schedule table; and a display means configured to display the joint chromatogram.

A spacer ring disposed between at the least two layers of media forming an air gap between them.

Example aspects of a volatile organic compound detection device, a wearable health monitoring device, and a method of monitoring a user's health are disclosed. The volatile organic compound detection device can comprise a collector comprising a collector material configured to collect volatile organic compounds given off from a user's skin; a separator comprising a gas chromatography column configured to separate mixtures of the volatile organic compounds into their constituent chemicals; and an identifier comprising a detector and a processor, the detector configured to transduce the constituent chemicals into a signal, the processor configured to process the signal to identify specific volatile organic compounds indicative of a health condition.

A gas chromatography system is disclosed including an oven cavity, a heater assembly, an inlet, a guard column, an analytical column, and a detector. The guard column is in fluid communication with the inlet and is disposed in a guard column coil. The analytical column is in fluid communication with the guard column and is disposed in an analytical column coil. The detector is in fluid communication with the analytical column. The analytical column coil has an analytical column coil central axis aligned with a central axis of the heater assembly, and the guard column coil has a guard column coil central axis remote from the central axis of the heater assembly.
