METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR CODING DIAGNOSTIC METERS
A system for diagnostic testing may include a meter for performing a diagnostic test on a sample applied to a test media, the meter having a housing and an interface for receiving a signal representing coding information, and a container configured to contain test media compatible with the meter, the container having a coding element associated therewith. Additionally, the system may provide a mechanism for removing the meter from an interconnected test container and reattaching it to a new container using on-container coding methods that can recalibrate the meter for the new container of test strips.
FLOW ASSAY CARTRIDGE
A flow assay cartridge for housing and protecting a flow assay membrane or lateral flow test strip which can be vertically stacked and is adapted for high-throughput automated lateral flow assay testing and analysis. The flow assay cartridge comprises a base and lid for receiving the flow assay membrane, and top and bottom engagement features such that two or more flow assay cartridges can be releasably adjoined in a vertical orientation such that they can be easily handled by an automated assay apparatus.
TEST STRIP CONTAINER AND TEST STRIP DISCHARGING MECHANISM
A test strip container includes: an accommodating member in which a test strip is accommodated; a moving member moving the test strip therein; a door member opening and closing at a side surface of the accommodating member to discharge the test strip out of the accommodating member, and cutting the interior and the exterior of the accommodating member off from each other when closed; a door accommodating portion covering the door member, in which the door member can open and close; and a discharge opening cutting the interior and an exterior of the door accommodating portion off from each other when closed, and is provided at the door accommodating portion so as to open and close to discharge the test strip to the exterior of the door accommodating portion, the discharge opening being able to open when the accommodating member is closed by the door member.
ASSAY REACTION CONTROLLER MAGAZINE
Devices and methods for providing and dispensing opposables onto slides are provided in which magazines loaded with opposables include retention arms to reduce movement of the opposables during shipment and processing and to reduce or eliminate contamination.
Dispensing device for holding and dispensing strip-like objects
A dispensing device for holding and dispensing strip-like objects, like test strips for analyzing a sample of bodily fluid, wherein the dispensing device holds a stack of strips. The dispensing device includes a container portion for holding the stack of strips and a dispenser portion for dispensing strips from the dispensing device, one at a time. The dispenser portion includes a movable element for applying a rotation motion to a strip to be dispensed from a first orientation, in which the strip is enclosed in the dispensing device, to a second orientation, in which the strip is at least partially exposed.
TEST PAPER BOX AND INTELLIGENT TOILET CONTAINING SAME
The present invention provides a test paper box and a smart toilet containing same. The test paper box comprises a support and a housing arranged at the outside of the support. The support comprises a base and an elongated cavity arranged at the base for storing test paper. The base is provided with a through hole arranged at a location corresponding to a bottom surface of the elongated cavity. A paper-receiving slot is arranged below the through hole. The paper-receiving slot is fixed to the bottom of the base to receive the bottommost piece of test paper exposed from the elongated cavity, and the paper-receiving slot is provided with a paper outlet. The test paper box can be attached and detached conveniently, delivers test paper smoothly, can be replaced easily, has low costs, and is suitable for smart toilets.
Interchangeable test element retainers
Interchangeable inserts are provided for a storage container configured to receive a plurality of vertically oriented items, where the inserts include a body having a base, an upper surface having an upper opening, and an upstanding tubular sidewall extending between the base and the upper surface. The base and the tubular sidewall together define an interior space of the insert. The tubular sidewall has an inner surface and an outer surface, where a pair of resilient securing tabs extend laterally from the outer surface of the tubular sidewall. The securing tabs frictionally engage the storage container for releasably coupling the insert to the storage container. Further, the insert has a first vent opening extending through the tubular sidewall through which air can enter the interior space of the body.
Indexer for test-sensor cartridge
An indexer adapted to index a test sensor from a test-sensor cartridge. The indexer includes an indexer face having a first aperture formed generally through the center thereof. The indexer further includes a retention pin extending through the first aperture and a flexible pawl positioned near an edge of the indexer face. The indexer is adapted to be rotated in a first direction and a second generally opposite direction about the retention pin. The flexible pawl is configured to bend when the indexer is rotated in the second direction. The flexible pawl is configured to assist in rotating the test-sensor cartridge.
FLIP-TOP VIAL WITH SHAKE-OUT STRIP DISPENSER AND MOLDED DESICCANT
A vial can include a container having a sidewall, a bottom, and a top, which may include a vial opening. The vial can include a lid that attaches to the top and that seals the opening. The vial can include a first dispenser insert that attaches proximate to the top. The vial can include an inner lining along an interior face of the sidewall. The inner lining can include a desiccant material.
