Peptides and combination of peptides for use in immunotherapy against hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) and other cancers
A method of eliciting an immune response in a patient who has a cancer includes administering to said patient a composition containing a population of activated T cells that selectively recognize the cancer cells in the patient that aberrantly express a peptide consisting of the amino acid sequence of GVYDGEEHSV (SEQ ID NO: 303), in which the peptide is in a complex with an MHC molecule.
Methods of assaying proteins
Methods and systems for identifying a protein within a sample are provided herein. A panel of antibodies are acquired, none of which are specific for a single protein or family of proteins. Additionally, the binding properties of the antibodies in the panel are determined. Further, the protein is iteratively exposed to a panel of antibodies. Additionally, a set of antibodies which bind the protein are determined. The identity of the protein is determined using one or more deconvolution methods based on the known binding properties of the antibodies to match the set of antibodies to a sequence of a protein.
Compositions and methods for removal of detergents from aqueous solutions
Compositions and methods are described in which a primary detergent or surfactant in an aqueous solution is removed by the addition of a secondary detergent or surfactant in concentrations that exceed the critical micellar concentration (CMC) of the secondary detergent or surfactant. These compositions and methods are particularly applicable to protein-containing solutions. Typical primary detergents/surfactants include polysorbate 20, polysorbate 80, and Triton X-100. Suitable secondary detergents or surfactants can be ionic, nonionic, or zwitterionic. Typical secondary detergents/surfactants include, but are not limited to, galactoside detergents (e.g. octyl-β-galactoside), glucamide detergents (e.g. MEGA 8, MEGA 9, MEGA 10), cholamide detergents (e.g. CHAPS, CHAPSO, BIGCHAPS), and sulfobetaine detergents (such as sulfobetaine 3-10).
AMINOACRIDINE AND AMINOPYRENE DYES AND THEIR USE AS FLUORESCENT TAGS, IN PARTICULAR FOR CARBOHYDRATE ANALYSIS
The invention relates to novel fluorescent dyes with multiple negatively charged groups in their ionized form which are 9-aminoacridines or 1-aminopyrene shaving of one of the following general formulae A-E: or salts or protonated forms thereof, wherein the ionizable groups are typically selected from the following: OH, SH, COOH, SO.sub.3H, OSO.sub.3H, SO.sub.2NHCN, P(O)(OH).sub.2, P(O) (OH).sub.2. The invention further relates to the use of these dyes as fluorescent tags, in particular for reducing sugars and glycans, and to carbohydrate-dye conjugates comprising these dyes as well as to methods for preparing the same.

Vitamin E-based amphipathic compound, and use thereof
The present invention relates to a vitamin E-based amphipathic compound, a method for producing same, and a method for extracting, solubilizing, stabilizing, or crystallizing a membrane protein using same. By using a compound according to the present invention, not only is an excellent membrane protein extraction and solubilization effect achieved, but the membrane protein can be stably stored for a long period of time in an aqueous solution, and thus the compound can be utilized in analyzing the function and structure of the membrane protein. Moreover, the vitamin E-based amphipathic compounds exhibited superb properties in the visualization of protein compounds through an electron microscope. Membrane protein structure and function analysis is one of the fields of greatest interest in biology and chemistry today, and since at least half of new drugs currently being developed target membrane proteins, the vitamin E-based amphipathic compounds may be applied to the membrane protein structure research, which is closely related to the development of new drugs.
NON-INVASIVE ASSAY FOR DETECTING AND MONITORING SYSTEMIC INFLAMMATION
The invention provides assays and methods for detecting and monitoring systemic inflammation Particularly, the invention in embodiments thereof relates to the use of urinary biomarkers for non-invasive determination of the level of inflammation.
ANTIBODY FLUID DEPOSITS
In one example an apparatus can include a controller communicatively coupled to a droplet dispenser to deposit antibody fluid on a matrix of an immunoblotting array, the controller is to align the droplet dispenser with a protein band included in the matrix, instruct the droplet dispenser to deposit a first antibody fluid on to the protein band of the matrix, and instruct the droplet dispenser to deposit a second antibody fluid on to the protein band of the matrix, adjacent to the first antibody fluid.
Method in a surface plasmon resonance biosensor system
A method for determining instrument-dependent parameters of a surface plasmon resonance, SPR, biosensor system, and using those instrument-dependent parameters to measure the concentration of an analyte is provided herein. Also disclosed are methods of monitoring surface binding interactions of the analyte using the instrument-dependent parameters.
Ligand bound MBP membranes, uses and method of manufacturing
Compositions and methods are described for self-assembled polymer materials having at least one of macro, meso, or micro pores.
Compositions and methods of treatment using nicotinamide mononucleotide
Various methods and compositions for treating age-associated conditions and other medical conditions, such as muscle diseases, type 2 diabetes, and/or obesity are described. Methods of enhancing cellular uptake of NMN and stimulating NAD+ production are further described. Various mammalian cells and mammalian cell lines are described including those comprising a cDNA encoding a Slc12a8 protein. Gene therapy vectors comprising a nucleic acid encoding Slc12a8 and non-human animals comprising an inactivating mutation in a Slc12a8 gene are also disclosed. Also described are methods for screening a candidate compound to identify compounds that promote NMN transport.
