Lab instrument status monitoring

A dashboard interface may be displayed on a lab instrument to provide aggregate status information from a plurality of other interfaces organized into a single interface. The aggregate status information may be viewed by a nearby user of the lab instrument, and selecting portions of the information via a touchscreen display will navigate directly to a subsequent interface that may be used to view additional information or make configuration changes relating to the selected information. The dashboard may be used as a screensaver on a lab instrument when the instrument is not in use, or may be navigated to by an active user of a lab instrument, or both.

A sample testing system includes a test receptacle support structure, an optical element positioned for transmitting electromagnetic radiation emitted or reflected by a sample disposed in a test receptacle supported by the test receptacle support structure, a cleaning member, and an automated transport arm configured to (i) detachably couple the cleaning member, (ii) move the detachably-coupled cleaning member into a position proximate to and/or contacting the optical element, and (iii) decouple the cleaning member.

MULTI-THREADED FLUID PARAMETER SIGNAL PROCESSING

A data receiver thread is continuously executed to receive in which signals indicating a fluid parameter. A predetermined time quantity of the signals is repeatedly buffered. Upon completion of the buffering of each predetermined time quantity of the signals, a data processing thread is initiated that executes on the just completed buffered predetermined time quantity of signals. Upon completion of each data processing thread, data from the just completed data processing thread is passed to a data plotting thread. Results of the data plotting thread are displayed on a portable electronic device while the data receiver thread is being executed.

METHOD FOR MONITORING SLIDING CONTACTS

The invention relates to a measuring system for measuring a sample in an automated analysis machine. The measuring system comprises a measuring device for recording measurement values of a measured variable and a first controller and a second controller for processing the measurement values and a sliding contact system with sliding contacts, wherein the measurement values are transferred from the measuring device to the first controller and wherein the measurement values are transferred from the first controller to the second controller via the sliding contacts. The measuring system comprises an error counter which captures the errors occurring during the transfer of the measurement values from the first controller to the second controller via the sliding contacts.

SAMPLE MEASUREMENT SYSTEM AND METHOD OF TRANSPORTING IN AND OUT RACK

A sample measurement system includes: a measurement unit that measures a sample stored in a sample container; a transport unit that transports a rack capable of holding sample containers via the measurement unit; a first transport-in/transport-out unit and a second transport-in/transport-out unit in each of which racks can be set alongside in a first direction, and that send the set racks to be transported to the measurement unit and receive the racks transported from the measurement unit; and a controller that controls the first transport-in/transport-out unit and the second transport-in/transport-out unit so that the racks are sequentially sent from the first transport-in/transport-out unit and the second transport-in/transport-out unit. The first transport-in/transport-out unit and the second transport-in/transport-out unit are disposed alongside in a second direction crossing the first direction, and each send the racks from one side in the first direction, and receive the racks from the other side.
