An arrangement is provided that is configured to measure a biomarker value of an animal milk sample, including a cassette including a carrier tape having test zones indicating the biomarker value, and an inspective window. The carrier tape is disposed on first and second spools configured to cooperate with a cassette external motor. The arrangement also includes a service module including a camera configured to inspect the test zone, a motor configured to be engaged with a cassette spool, and a tube element configured to provide the milk sample to the test zone.

Dish rotation directly driven from transport belt
An apparatus for conveying a plurality of articles includes a transport belt, a bumper stopper, and a rotator. A motor moves the transport belt which is adapted to rotate the rotator as the belt conveys the plurality of articles. The stopper can move between first and second positions relative to the transport belt wherein the bumper stopper guides one article toward the rotator when the bumper stopper is in the first position. The bumper stopper allows the article to be conveyed to another location when the bumper stopper is in the second position. The transport belt can continue to convey other articles while the one article is temporarily held in place by the bumper stopper. The rotator is configured to rotate the article conveyed by the transport belt. The article can remain in contact with the transport belt while the rotator is rotating the article.
Automation tube positioning methodology
Methods and systems allow characterization of sample vessels and carriers in an automation system to determine any physical deviation from nominal positions. In response, an offset can be calculated and applied when positioning a carrier relative to a station, such as a testing or processing stations (or vice-versa). This may allow for precise operation of an instrument with a sample vessel on an automation track, while compensating for deviation in manufacturing and other tolerances.

Sample Transporting Device, System and Method
In sample transporting devices, the operation sound of a belt conveyor and the driving sound of a drive motor are caused by operating a transporting line when transporting samples, and reducing the driving sound and operation sound is required. In the present invention, a detection signal of the detection sensor 309 is detected by a detection unit 310, and a control unit 111 performs controlling to change the current value and the driving frequency of a belt driving motor 304 of a transporting line 301 and change the driving torque and the driving rotary speed of the transporting line on the basis of the amount and number of samples transported by a belt 303, wherein the amount and number of samples transported by the belt can be obtained by the detection signal or a sample amount measured by a sample transporting system. Accordingly, noise reduction is achieved by driving the belt driving motor under suitable conditions according to the amount and number of the samples transported by the transporting line, and reducing the operation sound of the belt driving motor or mechanisms and the like.
Sample dispensing apparatus and automatic analyzer including the same
The invention provides a small-sized automatic analyzer being compact, enabling a large number of analysis items to be carried out, and having a high processing speed. The automatic analyzer is particularly suitably applied to a medical analyzer used for qualitative/quantitative analysis of living body samples, such as urine and blood. A plurality of sample dispensing mechanism s capable of being operated independently of each other are provided to suck a sample from any one of a plurality of sample suction positions and to discharge the sucked sample to any one of a plurality of positions on a reaction disk. The automatic analyzer having a high processing capability can be thus realized without increasing the system size.

A sample carrier handling devices for manipulating a sample carrier is presented. The sample carrier is configured to carry a sample container containing a sample which is used in a diagnostics laboratory. The sample carrier handling device comprises a housing which is at least partially closed, defining a circumferential surface. A pull-push-element of the sample carrier handling device is configured to pull, push, or pull and push the sample carrier with an end-portion of the pull-push-element. The pull-push-element defines a central axis. The pull-push-element is arranged in the housing so that during a movement of the pull-push-element the central axis of the pull-push-element changes its direction while the end portion of the pull-push-element remains in an axis of motion.
