RADAR SIGNAL PROCESSING WITH FORWARD-BACKWARD MATRIX
Aspects of the present disclosure are directed to radar signal processing apparatuses and methods. As may be implemented in accordance with one or more embodiments, digital signals representative of received reflections of radar signals transmitted towards a target are mathematically processed to provide or construct a matrix pencil based on or as a function of a forward-backward matrix. Eigenvalues of the matrix pencil are computed and an estimation of the direction of arrival (DoA) of the target is output based on the computed eigenvalues.
AXIS DEVIATION DETECTION DEVICE AND AXIS DEVIATION DETECTION PROGRAM
An axis deviation detection device detects a deviation of a central axis of an in-vehicle measurement device that executes measurement using radar waves. The axis deviation detection device performs correction of data that are obtained by the measurement device, to generate first data. Furthermore, the axis deviation detection device generates second data, based on behavior of the vehicle as measured by a sensor unit. The axis deviation detection device then detects the deviation of the central axis, from the first and second data.

ANGLE ESTIMATION WITH MULTI-FRAME PROCESSING FOR RADAR ON MOBILE DEVICES
An electronic device includes a processor operably connected to a radar transceiver. The processor is configured to transmit, via the radar transceiver, radar signals to detect an object. The processor is also configured to detect the object using a single radar frame or multiple radar frames from the radar signals. The processor is further configured to determine whether to use the single radar frame or the multiple radar frames based on motion of the object for angle identification between the object and the electronic device. Additionally, the processor is configured to identify the angle using the single radar frame based on a determination to use the single radar frame or the multiple radar frames based on a determination to use the multiple radar frames. The processor is also configured to modify radio frequency exposure levels based on the angle of the object relative to the electronic device.

Angle diversity multiple input multiple output radar
A radar system includes an antenna array including a plurality of antenna elements; and a transmitter portion coupled to the antenna array, the transmitter portion being configured to sequentially transmit a first transmit beam and a second transmit beam from a single pulse, the first transmit beam and second transmit beam being formed using the same aperture of the antenna array, wherein a skew angle of the first transmit beam is distinct from a skew angle of the second beam. Such radar system alternatively transmitting through subarrays and receiving each via the entire array and combining the signals such that the transmit and receive parts of one of two 2-way beams point in the same direction and the transmit and receive parts of the second 2-way beam point in the same direction and these directions are within a standard beamwidth of each other.
VEHICLE CONTROL SYSTEM FOR DETECTING OBJECT AND METHOD THEREOF
A vehicle control system may include a controller that detects an object outside a vehicle, calculates an angle based on a ratio of a relative speed between the object and the vehicle to a speed of the vehicle, and updates a phase curve reflecting a phase distortion of an input signal based on the calculated angle.
