METHOD FOR LOCATING AN ELECTRONIC DEVICE, CORRESPONDING SYSTEM AND CORRESPONDING ELECTRONIC DEVICE
A method is described for locating an electronic device in the vicinity of an array having a central unit and anchors connected to the central unit. The method is applied during at least a communication cycle comprising a plurality of time slots each allocated to a distinct anchor. The method involves receiving an initiation signal from the electronic device, performing an election of a set of anchor(s) based on the reception quality of the initiation signal, emitting a reply signal during a respective allocated time slot, operating the electronic device in a first configuration during the time slots which are not allocated to one of the anchors the elected set, operating the electronic device in a second configuration during the time slot allocated to the elected set to detect and receive a reply signal, and calculating a location of the electronic device based on the reply signal.
REPORTING POTENTIAL VIRTUAL ANCHOR LOCATIONS FOR IMPROVED POSITIONING
Disclosed are techniques for wireless positioning. In an aspect, a user equipment (UE) determines a positioning measurement of a first multipath component of a radio frequency (RF) signal transmitted by a transmission-reception point (TRP), determines a first additional positioning measurement of a second multipath component of the RF signal, determines a second additional positioning measurement of a third multipath component of the RF signal, and transmits a measurement report to a location server, the measurement report including at least the positioning measurement, the first additional positioning measurement, the second additional positioning measurement, and one or more parameters associated with the first additional positioning measurement and the second additional positioning measurement.
Apparatus and method for mitigating interference when phase ranging among beacons and tags
A communications system, including at least one tag and a plurality of beacons. The tags are configured to detect beacon advertisement messages, initiate a connection with at least one of the plurality of and transmit a Constant Tone (CT) to the at least one of the plurality of beacons. The tag is further configured to determine a location thereof based on the sampled CT from both the beacon and the tag and then report the location via the one of the beacons and/or an access point. Phase ranging mitigation techniques which include hop duplication, hop interpolation and ADC DC offset correction are employed so as to provide more accurate ranging values even in the case where there are many other devices in local proximity and which are competing for use of the same RF channels as those used by the tags and beacons.
Framework and method for acknowledging multiple messages in UWB communication and ranging systems
A method and apparatus a first network entity in a wireless communication system supporting ranging capability is provided. The method and apparatus comprises: identifying, in a ranging block, one or more ranging rounds to transmit a ranging control message (RCM) with a multiple message receipt confirmation request (MMRCR) for a transmission of at least one first message comprising at least one of a set of ranging messages or a set of ranging ancillary data messages; transmitting, to a second network entity, the RCM with the MMRCR; transmitting, to the second network entity, ranging ancillary data in at least one ranging round of one or more ranging rounds following the RCM, wherein the ranging ancillary data is associated with the MMRCR; and receiving, from the second network entity, a ranging multiple message receipt confirmation (RMMRC) corresponding to the transmission of the at least one first message.
GUIDANCE SYSTEM FOR LEADING AN AIRCRAFT TO A REFERENCE POINT; ASSOCIATED GUIDANCE METHOD
The invention relates to a guidance system for leading an aircraft to a reference point, characterised in that it comprises: An active beacon capable of emitting a first electromagnetic signal in a first emission cone, defined by an apex coinciding with the reference point, a first beam angle and a first axis corresponding to an emission direction; and a multi-beam radar, installed on board the aircraft, operating in reception mode and capable of performing deviation measurements on a signal received from the active beacon, the multi-beam radar comprising an antenna adapted for receiving in at least two spatially separate reception cones.
Obtaining a vehicle environment map based on aerial imaging
A method that includes obtaining vehicle sensed environment information by at least one sensor of a vehicle; determining, by an initial location estimate module of the vehicle, an initial location estimate of the vehicle; obtaining, by processor of the vehicle, aerial map segment information related to a segment of an aerial map, the segment comprises an environment of the initial location estimate of the vehicle; determining, based on the vehicle sensed information and on the aerial map segment information, to perform the driving related operation within at least the environment of the initial location estimate of the vehicle; and performing the driving related operation.
Distance measurement method of user equipment in wireless communication system and user equipment using method
The present document provides a method by which first vehicle-to-X (V2X) user equipment (UE) for supporting distance measurement transmits a ranging response signal in a wireless communication system, the method comprising: receiving a ranging request signal from second V2X UE; and transmitting, to the second V2X UE, the ranging response signal as a response to the ranging request signal on the basis of distance measurement parameter information, wherein the distance measurement parameter information includes information on a cyclic prefix (CP) length used for the ranging response signal, and the CP length used for the ranging response signal is different from a CP length to be used in V2X data channel transmission.
Reconfigurable intelligent surface enabled sidelink positioning
In an aspect, a user equipment (UE) may control one or more reconfigurable intelligent surfaces (RIS) in accordance with one or more RIS schedules that indicate times when the one or more RIS are in an enabled state and times when the one or more RIS are in a disabled state. The UE may request at least one participating UE of one or more participating UEs to transmit at least one positioning reference signal (PRS) in a PRS resource. The UE may measure the at least one PRS from the at least one participating UE in accordance with the RIS schedule to make one or more measurements of the at least one PRS when the one or more RIS are in the disabled state and to make one or more measurements of the at least one PRS when the one or more RIS are in the enabled state.
