The transmitting antennas transmit signals and the receiving antennas receive the signals reflected off objects. Multiple scans of radar data are received at an electronic control unit (ECU) and processed at a processor of the ECU. The ECU detects presence of a plurality of objects exterior the equipped vehicle and within the field of sensing of the at least one radar sensor. The ECU, responsive at least in part to processing at the processor of the received multiple scans of captured radar data and received vehicle motion estimation, tracks objects detected in the received multiple scans over two or more scans.
NAVIGATION APPARATUS AND POSITION DETERMINATION METHOD
A navigation apparatus includes an image capturing device, template database, correlation device, evaluation device, and output interface. The image capturing device can create a radar image of a surround, the template database configured to provide at least one template substantially matched to the radar image and containing at least one geo-referenced landmark, the at least one geo-referenced landmark being geo-referenced by at least one geo-coordinate. The correlation device can correlate the at least one geo-referenced landmark in the at least one template with the radar image and provide the at least one geo-coordinate belonging to the at least one geo-referenced landmark. The evaluation device can determine a position of the navigation apparatus from the at least one geo-coordinate of the at least one geo-referenced landmark and from a setting of the image capturing device. The output interface is configured to provide the determined position.
Systems and methods for synthetic aperture radar with vector processing
Embodiments are disclosed that for synthetic aperture radar (SAR) systems and methods that process radar image data to generate radar images using vector processor engines, such as single-instruction-multiple-data (SIMD) processor engines. The vector processor engines can be further augmented with accelerators that vectorize element selection thereby expediting memory accesses required for interpolation operations performed by the vector processor engines.
MODULAR MOTOR VEHICLE INTEGRATED CARRIER RACK AND STORAGE SYSTEM WITH UNIVERSAL CONNECTIONS
A unified carrier cargo rack and storage system for a vehicle including a receiver unit installed in the rear of the vehicle and a modular carrier rack, including a transitional carrier bar, a secondary bar and a cargo carrier bar, wherein the cargo carrier bar is further operable to engage and immobilize cargo; are disclosed as are male and female securing mechanisms.
Fuzzy Labeling of Low-Level Electromagnetic Sensor Data
This document describes techniques and systems for fuzzy labeling of low-level electromagnetic sensor data. Sensor data in the form of an energy spectrum is obtained and the points within an estimated geographic boundary of a scatterer represented by the smear is labeled with a value of one. The remaining points of the energy spectrum are labeled with values between zero and one with the values decreasing the further away each respective remaining point is from the geographic boundary. The fuzzy labeling process may harness more in-depth information available from the distribution of the energy in the energy spectrum. A model can be trained to efficiently label an energy spectrum map in this manner. This may result in lower computational costs than other labeling methods. Additionally, false detections by the sensor may be reduced resulting in more accurate detection and tracking of objects.
DETECTION OF RADIAL DEFORMATIONS OF TRANSFORMERS
A method for detecting radial deformation in a winding of a transformer may include synthetic aperture radar (SAR) imaging of the winding using ultra high frequency (UHF) electromagnetic signals in a first instance of the winding to obtain a first image of the winding; SAR imaging of the winding using UHF electromagnetic signals in a second instance of the winding to obtain a second image of the winding; and comparing the first image of the winding and the second image of the winding to detect a radial deformation in the winding. The UHF electromagnetic signals may be transmitted as a plurality of successive sinusoidal signals, where frequencies of the successive sinusoidal signals gradually change from a first frequency to a second frequency.

RADAR IMAGE DATA PROCESSING AND MANIPULATION
Various embodiments of the present technology generally relate to detecting and manipulating radar image data. More specifically, some embodiments relate to systems, methods, and computer-readable storage media for detecting, processing, viewing, and manipulating radar images in an image viewer application. Radar image data captured by a radar imaging system, such as a synthetic aperture radar (SAR) or other satellite-based equipment, comprises data unreadable by image viewers. In an implementation, an open-source plug-in for an image viewer application obtains SAR data, performs one or more algorithms on the SAR data to detect an image, and provides the detected image to an image viewer for display on a graphical user interface. Further, requests for manipulation of the detected image made by the image viewer application may be performed by the plug-in and exported in complex data formats for use downstream.
