OBJECT RECOGNITION DEVICE AND OBJECT RECOGNITION METHOD
Provided is an object recognition device including a prediction processing unit, a temporary setting unit, and a association processing unit. The prediction processing unit predicts, as a prediction position on an object model obtained by modeling a tracking target, a position of a movement destination of the tracking target based on a trajectory formed by movement of at least one object of a plurality of objects as the tracking target. The temporary setting unit sets, based on specifications of a sensor that has detected the tracking target, a position of at least one candidate point on the object model. The association processing unit sets, based on the position of the candidate point and the prediction position, a reference position on the object model. The association processing unit determines whether the position of the detection point and the prediction position associate with each other based on a positional relationship between a association range which is set so that the association range has a reference position on the object model as a reference and a detection point at a time when the sensor has detected the at least one object of the plurality of objects.
Switching between object detection and data transfer with a vehicle radar
In one embodiment, a method includes determining an operational status of a vehicle including a radar antenna. The operational status is related to autonomous-driving operations of the vehicle in an environment. The method includes determining an expected amount of signaling resources associated with the radar antenna to be utilized by the vehicle while the vehicle performs the autonomous-driving operations, based at least on the operational status of the vehicle and the environment. The method includes determining to switch one or more of the signaling resources associated with the radar antenna from a first mode to a second mode based on the expected amount of signaling resources to be utilized by the radar antenna while the vehicle performs the autonomous-driving operations. The method includes causing the one or more of the signaling resources associated with the radar antenna to switch from the first mode to the second mode.
Autonomy first route optimization for autonomous vehicles
Embodiments herein can determine an optimal route for an autonomous electric vehicle. The system may score viable routes between the start and end locations of a trip using a numeric or other scale that denotes how viable the route is for autonomy. The score is adjusted using a variety of factors where a learning process leverages both offline and online data. The scored routes are not based simply on the shortest distance between the start and end points but determine the best route based on the driving context for the vehicle and the user.
RADIO WAVE REFLECTION REDUCING SHEET AND VEHICLE MEMBER
A radio wave reflection reducing sheet provided with a laminate having a first primary surface and a second primary surface is disclosed. The laminate has: a first resin foam layer having a thickness from 0.05 to 3.00 mm and a density from 0.10 to 0.85 g/cm.sup.3, and a second resin foam layer having a thickness from 0.05 to 3.00 mm and a density from 0.20 to 0.90 g/cm.sup.3. The density of the second resin foam layer is greater than the density of the first resin foam layer. The first resin foam layer and the second resin foam layer are disposed in this order from the first primary surface side.
Gain control in an orthogonal frequency division multiplexed radar system
A radar system comprises a transmitter and a receiver. The radar system is operable to define a near range and a far range. The radar system is operable to, during each one of a plurality of time intervals, repeatedly transmit, via the transmitter, a plurality of OFDM symbols. The transmitter is operable to select a transmit power for the transmission during the one of the time intervals based on from which of the near range and the far range reflections of the OFDM symbols are to be received during the one of the time intervals. The receiver is operable to receive reflections of the OFDM symbols, and process, in the receiver, the reflections of the OFDM symbols to detect objects within the near range and the far range.
