TIME-OF-FLIGHT BASED UNIFIED POSITIONING SYSTEM AND METHODS
Method of determining a position of a plurality of mobile network devices relative to a plurality of reference network devices, wherein the plurality of mobile network devices and the plurality of reference network devices communicate with one another over a wireless channel and access the wireless channel according to an access policy comprising a sequence of time frames, wherein each time frame of the sequence comprises a plurality of portions reserved for communicating messages relating to different time-of-flight (ToF) computation methods, each of the different ToF computation methods allowing for determining a position of at least one of the plurality of mobile network devices. A positioning system implements the above method.
BASE STATION AND SIGNAL TRANSMISSION CONFIGURATION METHOD, AND SIGNAL MEASUREMENT DEVICE AND METHOD THEREFOR
The present embodiments relate to a method and device for obtaining location information of a terminal by using a wireless communication system. Provided according to an embodiment is a device for acquiring the location information of a terminal, the device comprising at least one downlink signal receiver, at least one uplink signal receiver, and a controller for controlling the downlink signal receiver and uplink signal receiver, wherein the controller configures uplink resource assignment information on the basis of control information received by the downlink signal receiver and determines whether an uplink signal is received, on the basis of the uplink resource allocation information.
LINK SIGNAL SETTING METHOD FOR POSITIONING MOBILE COMMUNICATION TERMINAL
Proposed are an apparatus and a method for estimating the position of a target terminal within a mobile communication system. In general, a mobile communication system is composed of a base station and terminals. In the present invention, one or more positioning devices are placed around a target terminal required to be positioned to measure a transmission signal of the target terminal, and accurately measures the position of the target terminal on the basis of the transmission signal. In the above process, the base station should connect a communication channel with the terminal for positioning of the terminal, and a method therefor is proposed. In particular, the present invention relates to a method for setting a terminal in a standby state to transmit an uplink signal. In addition, an operation and a protocol for positioning the target terminal are proposed.
APPARATUSES AND METHODS FOR COLLISION AVOIDANCE
The present disclosure relates to a collision avoidance concept comprising emitting a modulated light beacon from an object, wherein a luminance of the light beacon is modulated based on a useful signal carrying information on a position of the object, detecting, by an event-based vision sensor of a vehicle, the modulated light beacon of the object and outputting an event signal in response to a detected change in luminance of the modulated light beacon, and estimating a distance between the object and the vehicle based on the event signal.
ENABLE USER EQUIPMENT POSITIONING THROUGH PAGING
Techniques are provided for positioning of user equipment (UE) with paging messages. An example method for positioning a user equipment with paging messages includes receiving a positioning paging message with a user equipment in an idle state, measuring positioning measurements in response to receiving the positioning paging message, determining location information based at least in part on the positioning measurements, and transmitting the location information via a random access procedure.
INDOOR LOCATION POSITION SYSTEM AND METHOD
A location position system can include a plurality of beacons arranged a grid formation divided into a plurality of sub-grids. A mobile computing device can implement a location position application and can receive a radio signal from a particular beacon of the plurality of beacons. The radio signal can comprise a data component uniquely identifying the particular beacon, which can be used to identify a particular sub-grid of the plurality of sub-grids. An audio signal can be received from each of a set of sub-grid beacons associated with the particular sub-grid. Each audio signal can: (i) have a frequency in the frequency range of 16 kHz to 24 kHz and a transmission delay from a reference time, (ii) lack any additional identifying data, and (iii) be separately transmitted from the radio signal transmitted by the particular beacon. The mobile computing device can determine its position based on the received audio signals.
NETWORK CONFIGURATION FOR SIDELINK-BASED POSITIONING SESSION INITIATION
Disclosed are techniques for wireless communication. In an aspect, a user equipment (UE) receives, from a network entity, a configuration message including at least one information element indicating whether the UE is permitted to initiate sidelink-based positioning sessions, and transmits a positioning reference signal (PRS) request to at least one UE based on the at least one information element indicating that the UE is permitted to initiate sidelink-based positioning sessions.
Apparatus and method to identify a user based on sound data and location information
An apparatus has circuitry which determines a location of a user, based on sound data representing speech of the user, and identifies the user based on the determined location of the user and user identification information and location information received from a mobile device.
Measurement systems and methods for fingerprinting positioning
A system, computer software and method for collecting, in addition to position data, additional positioning data in a user terminal served by a communication network. The method includes initiating, by generating a message within the user terminal, collection of the positioning data, where the positioning data includes information based on which a physical location of the user terminal is determined; measuring, by the user terminal, at least one parameter related to the physical location of the user terminal in response to the message; producing, within the user terminal, measurement reports that include the at least one parameter; selecting, within the user terminal, one or more measurement reports that were generated in response to the message generated by the user terminal; reporting the selected one or more measurement reports to an interface within the user terminal; and transmitting, from the interface, the reported one or more measurement reports to an external server or to the communication network.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR LOCATING WIRELESS ACCESSORIES
Embodiments described herein provide for system and methods to crowdsource the location of wireless devices and accessories that lack a connection to a wide area network. One embodiment provides for a data processing system configured to perform operations comprising loading a user interface on an electronic device, the user interface to enable the determination of a location of a wireless accessory that is associated with the electronic device, generating a set of public keys included within a signal broadcast by the wireless accessory, the signal broadcast during a first period, sending the set of public keys to a server with a request to return data that corresponds with a public key in the set of public keys, decrypting the location data using a private key associated with the public key, and processing the location data to determine a probable location for the wireless accessory.
