A method of selectively displaying an image representative of a weather condition in relation to an aircraft includes selecting, on a display screen, a display area to display weather data based on the location of the aircraft, selecting a weather condition to display from among a plurality of weather conditions, determining if any weather conditions are available to be displayed outside the selected display area and if the weather conditions should be displayed outside the selected display area based on the location of the aircraft and the severity of the non-selected weather conditions, receiving, from a weather data source, weather data representative of the selected weather condition with respect to the selected display area, and receiving weather data representative of weather conditions that should be displayed outside the selected display area, the weather data including location data for the weather conditions, and displaying the image representative of the selected weather condition within the selected display area and the weather conditions that should be displayed outside the selected display area, the image based on the received weather data.

This disclosure provides an information display device, which includes a sensor signal acquirer for acquiring a sensor signal indicating a content detected by a sensor, a signal processor for performing first signal processing and second signal processing different from the first signal processing, on the sensor signal, and a display unit for displaying on a screen image, first information of the sensor signal after the first signal processing, and partial information of second information of the sensor signal after the second signal processing in a different display mode from the first information, the partial information being different from the first information.

When a particular sensor is reporting to the vehicle's operation and control center, the corresponding light(s) according to a top view of the vehicle in the array may light up, pulse or flash accordingly. In addition, an audible alarm may operate in concert and emphasis with the light(s) display.

A method for determining an occupancy state of the parking space includes the steps of emitting radar signals; receiving reflected radar signals; and determining whether a motor vehicle is present in the parking space, based on the reflected radar signals. The determination is based on noise components of the reflected radar signals.

The processor is further configured to receive second weather data for a second area with respect to the aircraft via the communication system from an external location where the second weather data includes a second location of a weather event in the second area, and correlate the first weather data and the second weather data. The processor is further configured to generate display data for display based on the correlated weather data where the display data is for a display area at least partially defined by the first and second areas, and provide the display data to a display system onboard the aircraft.

A weather radar control system includes a processor configured to acquire first weather data for a first area extending from an aircraft from a weather radar system onboard the aircraft. The first weather data includes a first location of a weather event in the first area. The processor is further configured to receive second weather data for a second area with respect to the aircraft via the communication system from an external location where the second weather data includes a second location of a weather event in the second area, and correlate the first weather data and the second weather data. The processor is further configured to generate display data for display based on the correlated weather data where the display data is for a display area at least partially defined by the first and second areas, and provide the display data to a display system onboard the aircraft.
