RADAR INSTALLATION AND CALIBRATION SYSTEMS AND METHODS
Radar installation and calibration systems and methods are provided. In one example, a controller of a radar system receives installation parameters associated with an installation of a radar system. A present orientation of a radar device of the radar system is determined and compared to the installation parameters to determine a deviation of the present orientation from the installation parameters. The deviation is sent to a coordinating device associated with the radar device to cause the deviation to be outputted as installation feedback through the coordinating device. Related systems and methods are also provided.

OPTIMIZED WEATHER AND THREAT DEPICTION BASED ON AIRCRAFT FLIGHT PLAN
A weather depiction system for an aircraft is disclosed. A radar is configured to scan a surrounding environment of the aircraft and provide weather data. An aircraft computing device is configured to: detect weather patterns using the weather data, receive a flight trajectory of the aircraft from a flight management system (FMS), compare the flight trajectory to an altitude of each of the weather patterns, identify the weather pattern as relevant or non-relevant based on the comparison, and present symbols corresponding to the relevant weather patterns on the weather display and exclude symbols corresponding to the non-relevant weather patterns on the weather display.
METHOD FOR A SCENE INTERPRETATION OF AN ENVIRONMENT OF A VEHICLE
A method for a scene interpretation of an environment of a vehicle. The method includes: receiving environment sensor data from at least one environment sensor of a vehicle; carrying out an object detection based on the environment sensor data and detecting first objects in the environment of the vehicle; carrying out a scene analysis of the environment by taking into consideration the detected first objects and second objects stored in a map display of the environment, the scene analysis including: comparing the first objects detected in the object detection based on the environment sensor data to the second objects of the map display; and supplying a scene interpretation based on the scene analysis to a vehicle control of the vehicle, and at least the first objects detected in the object detection that agree with corresponding second objects of the map display are considered in the scene interpretation.
METHOD FOR MONITORING THE SURROUNDINGS OF A VEHICLE
A method and a device for monitoring a region (R) in which a carrier (100) is located, which device comprises a display unit displaying a polar plot (10) having a center symbolizing the current position of the carrier (100) and in which there is placed a first moving-body symbol (1, 2, 3) representing the current position of the moving body (101, 102, 103); the polar plot (10) being surrounded by an annular band (20) of width (l) representing a predetermined monitoring duration and containing second moving-body symbols (1′, 2′, 3′) representative of successive angle readings of the path of said moving body (101, 102, 103).
Manipulation of 3-D RF imagery and on-wall marking of detected structure
A radio frequency (RF) imaging device comprising a display receives a three-dimensional (3D) image that is a superposition of two or more images having different image types, which may include at least a 3D RF image of a space disposed behind a surface. A plurality of input control devices receive a user input for manipulating the display of the 3D image. Alternatively or additionally, the radio frequency (RF) imaging device may receive a three-dimensional (3D) image that is a weighted combination of a plurality of images, which may include a 3D RF image of a space disposed behind a surface, an infrared (IR) image of the surface, and a visible light image of the surface. A user input may specify changes to the weighted combination. In another embodiment, the RF imaging device may include an output device that produces a physical output indicating a detected type of material of an object in the space.

Visually correlated radar systems and methods
Techniques are disclosed for systems and methods to provide visually correlated radar imagery for mobile structures. A visually correlated radar imagery system includes a radar system, an imaging device, and a logic device configured to communicate with the radar system and imaging device. The radar system is adapted to be mounted to a mobile structure, and the imaging device may include an imager position and/or orientation sensor (IPOS). The logic device is configured to determine a horizontal field of view (FOV) of image data captured by the imaging device and to render radar data that is visually or spatially correlated to the image data based, at least in part, on the determined horizontal FOV. Subsequent user input and/or the sonar data may be used to adjust a steering actuator, a propulsion system thrust, and/or other operational systems of the mobile structure.
System and method to adjust or suppress windshear alert threshold for weather radar
A system including a radar receiver, a computer readable medium, and a processor. A data structure containing historical information pertaining to weather conditions for multiple locations may reside in the medium. The processor may be configured to: obtain aircraft data including information of an aircraft position; obtain external data; obtain a portion of the historical information pertaining to a location corresponding to the aircraft position; obtain weather radar data; analyze the weather radar data to determine if windshear exceeds a windshear alert threshold; upon an occurrence of the windshear exceeding the windshear alert threshold, determine whether to issue or suppress a windshear alert based on the aircraft data, the external data, and/or the portion of the historical information; and one of a) output the windshear alert for presentation to a user or b) adjust the windshear alert threshold causing the windshear alert to be suppressed and/or suppress the windshear alert.
