ZOOM LENS AND APPARATUS HAVING THE SAME
A zoom lens includes in order from an object side, a negative first lens unit and a rear lens unit including one or more lens units, an interval between adjacent lens units being changed during zooming, in which the first lens unit and the one or more lens units can be set to first, second and third zoom states, in which angles of view at first and second image heights at the first zoom state are respectively 160° or larger, in which a distortion at the first image height at the third zoom state is −30% or more, and the first image height, the second image height, a total length of the zoom lens at a wide angle end, and a focal length at the wide angle end are appropriately set.
Zoom lens
In a zoom lens of a fixed total length, at the time of changing the magnification from the wide-angle end toward the telephoto end, the first lens group is anchored while the second lens group is moved, and the third and fourth lens groups are moved so as to be located at the object side of the telephoto end relative to the wide-angle end, such that: the interval between the second and third lens groups is decreased at the telephoto end relative to the wide-angle end; the interval between the third and fourth lens groups is increased at the telephoto end relative to the wide-angle end; and the interval between the fourth and fifth lens groups is increased at the telephoto end relative to the wide-angle end, and at the time of focusing a near object point from a remote object point, the second lens group is moved.

Zoom lens and image pickup apparatus having the same
A zoom lens consists of, in order from an object side to an image side, a first lens unit having a negative refractive power, a second lens unit having a positive refractive power, and a rear group including one or more lens units. Each distance between adjacent lens units changes during zooming. The rear group includes a focus lens unit having a positive refractive power that moves from the image side to the object side during focusing from an infinite distance object to a close distance object. A lens closest to an object in the focus lens unit has a shape with a concave surface on the object side. The following inequalities are satisfied.
1.20<fLP/fL2<3.20
3.00<fL1/fL2<0.85
fLP represents a focal length of the focus lens unit, fL1 represents a focal length of the first lens unit, and fL2 represents a focal length of the second lens unit.
