A modular binocular night vision device permits vision during low-light conditions by converting incoming near-infrared and visible light from a viewed scene to an intensified visible light image. The modular binocular night vision device comprises a pair of monocular housings, connected to one another by way of a bridge, that are arranged for respectively covering the right and left eye of an observer. An example modular binocular night vision device comprises a bridge and a mount module. The bridge includes a mechanical connection port on a top side thereof; the mount module includes a top side, a base positioned opposite the top side, and an onboard power source. The base of the mount module is removably attachable to the mechanical connection port on the bridge and the onboard power source is adapted to provide power to the binocular night vision device.

The electro-optic observation device includes a handheld device housing, a lens group arranged in the device housing on the entrance side, an image capture unit arranged in the device housing on the image side with respect to the lens group, an image display unit arranged in the device housing, an eyepiece arranged on the exit side with respect to the image display unit, and also a control device configured to control at least the image display unit depending on user-specifically variable parameters. In addition, the electro-optic observation device includes, as input means for varying the parameters, a rotary wheel accessible on the device housing for access by a user.

OPTICAL SIGHTING DEVICES AND METHODS FOR AUTOMATICALLY ADJUSTING AN EYEBOX
20230027786 · 2023-01-26 ·

An optical sighting device includes an eyepiece positioned to receive optical radiation along an optical axis to produce a real exit pupil located remote from the eyepiece. The real exit pupil is positioned at an eye relief distance from the eyepiece along the optical axis. A digital signal processor determines an axial distance from the eyepiece to an eye positioned proximate the real exit pupil along the optical axis. An aperture stop is centered along the optical axis to direct the optical radiation in a direction of the eyepiece. The eye relief distance is based at least in part on a position of the aperture stop along the optical axis. The optical sighting device further includes an eye relief actuator to translate the aperture stop along the optical axis to null a spatial offset between the eye relief distance and the axial distance to the eye.
